I'm looking to find the best way to automate getting details from reports within Business Objects. We are currently using Business Objects BI4.0 SP6.
I wish to obtain the details from within each report of the various queries and variables (including formula) which exist within them.
Where possible I would also like to write back updates to reports to manage query and variable updates to avoid manually making these changes to affected reports.
I'd prefer if I could use Excel (VBA code) however if it is only an option via Java or another language through an SDK kit then this would also suffice.
Any assistance including code snippets or samples would be much appreciated.
