Data Issue in WEBI

Hi Experts, I have created a report connected to DEV  and when I query in the DB and I have done the same basic query(created variable i.e aggregate func) in report the data values are not matching and when I created the universe limited the resultset to 5000 and in DB there are 50k rows is that the issues with limiting the rows.I hardly cannot solve the issue.Can you guys help me?
