How I take some elements from a Dimension?

Hi,

I have one Dimension who has a lot of information, is a field full of differents types of data.

I need only a few elements of this Dimension. I try to create a variable to take ths elements but I get the wrong information.

Somebody can give any ideea how to do that?

Anybody have an exemple of programation of new variable to take information from an Dimension?

What kind of fonction I need ?
