Application of CSS template based on user group

Hi there,

I have a requirement which I'm not quite sure if it is possible to achieve but I thought of double checking with you guys first.

When the BI team developers develop a report a specific WebIDefaultStyleSheet.css is used which has the BI team's logo on the report. This is a standard practice that we are following since we started using BI 4 because BI 4 introduced CSS template, so its easy to modify and add a link of the logo, thus all the reports display a consistent logo, which is present on the BI 4 application server.

But now we want to achieve the following requirement:

When any other department users want to develop a new report or modify an existing report in that case the BI team logo should not be visible anymore and the template should be a standard template not the one that the BI team uses.

I hope I was able to explain my requirement, if not just ask me.

My initial thoughts on this; I will need to maintain 2 WebIDefaultStyleSheet files and have a restriction at group level. so if it is the BI team group user then the first css file should be used by the reports which has the logo, else if some one else from another department wants to write or modify and existing report in that case the user group should be determined and a second css file should be used.

how do I achieve this?

Let me know your thoughts please. thanks I appreciate

Regards,

samique
