Hi all,
I need help about solving my problem... I'm using SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 sp4 on a Virtual Machine hosted by a VPS on the network. I've got a public IP so, through VM Ware Network Preference Settings, I defined some redirected ports for each service of the BI Platform I need.
I made a lot of trial but I'm absolutely unable to reach the BI Server from a client on a local PC.. everything works fine inside the BI Virtual Machine.
Here my schema :
- Virtual Private Server with public IP (es. 111.11.111.111)
- Virtual Machine inside Virtual Server with static IP (222.22.222.222) created with VM Ware Workstation 10 series reaching the web in NAT mode
- SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 sp4 running on the Virtual Machine and reaching at http://222.22.222.222:8080/BOE/xx via web or at 222.22.222.22:6400 with clients
- Tried to fix the port for the follow services :
- File Input Repository Server (6430)
- File Output Repository Server (6431)
- Central Managemente Server (6432)
- Connection Server (6433)
- Connection Server 32bit (6434)
- By VMWare Network editor redirected the SBOP BI ports in that way :
- 9999 (IP = 111.11.111.111) = 8080 (IP = 222.22.222.222)
- 9998 = 6400
- 9997 = 6410
- 9996 = 6430
- ....
- 9992 = 6434
- Inside the virtual machine everything works fine (also via Web (CMC/BI Launchpad) also via Client (IDT, WebI, UDT..)
- Outside the virtual machine and the VPS using the browser everything works fine : es. with http://111.11.111.111:9999/BOE/BI (that means 222.22.222.222:8080) I reach thee BI Launchpad
- All perfect also using SAP BO Mobile on the smartphones or tablets
- If I try to log-in to the client by my desktop nothing works : using the 111.11.111.111:9998 (should be the BOSERVER:6400) I receive the message that the server is down or unreachable.. of coruse there are no firewall or other limits in the network from the VPS and the VM to my desktop.
What can I do?
