I'm experimenting with universe access restrictions on a user by user basis and all seems straightforward and works ok. When the user schedules a report the appropriate restriction is placed in the where clause (I'm using a row restriction).
My issue though is with reports in the history. If a report has been scheduled as excel, it seems to me that unvierse access restriction is not sophisticated enough to stop people viewing historical excel reports that contain data they now have a restrction for. We can live with this though as we can encourge users to scheudle reports as web intelligence format - the problem though is that historical reports in web intellignce format will open and show restricted data to the user. If they try to refresh it, the restrction comes into play but we don't want them to see the old report with restrcited data.
Any ideas?
