DYnamic images from URL in to WEBI report

Hi Guys i will have a functional module generate some links for me from a separate server , as they are dynamic, i cant put them in BOBJ server.

so for example here is my link, its just a picture of a pencil..i have to remove the server name for privacy...

https://www."Servername"/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?get&pVersion=0046&contRep=ZNS_DMS&docId=506C7AF9322120DEE100000088CD6CD1&compId=pen%201.jpg

so the link also need an item number next to it as in +" item number".

so how do i go about doing this? any ideas. i have tried to create a variable with this formula

ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?get&pVersion=0046&contRep=ZNS_DMS&docId=506C7AF9322120DEE100000088CD6CD1&compId=pen%201.jpg" + [COMP].[SKO_NSN]

but after changing the setting to read content as URL, i get a BIG X as in cannot read it. the URL is correct as when i insert it in the portal it works.

even if i dont go the variable route, and insert the image as url inside the report as status as read from url..i am not sure if i am doing this correct.

i am entering the generates URL AS IS ; inside the READ from URL. no picture shows.any ideas how to achieve that .
