How to handle large list of values for BEx variables in web intelligence

Hi Friends,

We have been facing issues with large set of list of values for BEx variables in web intelligence. For some of BEx variables, values are very huge.

So, they are not showing list of values. As per the sap note 1810652, we should increase the  size  in Dsap.sl.bics.bicslovlimit=10000 (to the desire extent).

But, this is not a solution for us. Because , some characteristics like sales orders are more than 100000.

So we have tried with wild card characters pattern search (For example, EU*), then, as there are too many values with that search, it is showing with grouping in folder like structure (as shown in second screen shot). It is taking too much time, more than 15 minutes to show the values from that folder and some times even more.

Do we need to do anything from BW/ BEx side? Any particular settings to fetch the list of values quickly in the selection screen?
