When developing reports there are times that i have to write many functions to finalize my report. Some variables are created by the help of current dimension or measures or the previous variables that i've created. Offical documantation of web intelligence offers that if you have to make a complex calculation by variables first create small pieces of variables and connect them together to get your final variable and that is what i usually do but if my final variable that i want to achieve is dependent on many other small variables it gets hard to organize and understand whats going on. For instance i created i report with over 80 variables last month.Here are the my questions.
- Is there a way to create subfolders like myprofitvariablesfolder for my variables in a webi document. In my opinion this feature is a must be in the web intelligece edit mode.
- Is there a way to visualize dependencies of variables?
- Is there a way to get print or see the list and formulas in them to see whats going on clearly other then clicking in the data tab and clicking one by one and trying to remember the logic.
