Server not found or server may be down

Our environment was just moved to version 4.1.  When trying to start the Rich Client from my desktop I get the error:

Server not found or server may be down

Looking at the trace.glf file I see:

Error on logon

com.sap.webi.client.toolkit.exception.WIException: ClusterFacadeImpl::openSession : [repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(Transport error: Communication failure.(FWM 00001)

(hr=#0x80042a01)

When I logon through the launchpad it successfully starts the Rich Client.

I am able to ping the server from my desktop and I have it added to my hosts file.

Any thoughts as to why I cannot start the Rich Client directly from my desktop?
