I've got a problem. I've a table contains a column named PAY_TIME with timestamp type and has index on it, that means to make use of index, I cannot add any function in the where statement like to_date, to_char or something else. And I've to create a object let user query for it, I want user select from the DATE control which returns string with format YYYY-MM-DD, then I need to convert it into timestamp and compare with PAY_TIME directly, in other words, the SQL I want universe generate is something like "WHERE PAY_TIME between xxx and yyy" or "WHERE PAY_TIME >= xxx", etc. How can I do then?
ps: We're using XI3.1 on DB2 9.7
