WebI Error on Save

We're on Web Intelligence XI SP3 (12.3.0).  Using the Rich Client, I get the error: "This file is currently being edited by <my user id>" when I try to save it.  By "<my user id", I mean that the error says the report is being edited by me.   I have to do a Save As in order to get the document to save.

Here are the steps I take to produce the error:

1. Start the Rich Client and import a report from the CMS (use overwrite existing option).
2. Open the report.
3. Save the repot.

NOTE: this also happens when I simply open a report already on my machine.

Anyone run across this problem before and know how to fix it?
