context operators in if clause

Hi,

I am working on an issue wherein a #multivalue comes up for a particular formula. The formula is as below:

if(example_date='12/31/2013';0;[object]).

If I add the context operator as

if(example_date='12/31/2013';0;sum([object]) forall (dim1)). The #multivalue still comes up. If I remove the if clause and use only the below

sum([object]) forall (dim1)

I get the right result.

Is there an issue using context operators with an if clause? Please do let me know if I am doing anything incorrect in the formula above.
