Maximum character output size limit reached (Error: ERR_WIS_30272)

Hi Techies,

We are currently in BOXI 3.1 SP6 version. Issue here is one of the successful instances of WebI report holding huge volume of data when downloaded to .xlsx output throwing error message "Maximum character output size limit reached.Contact you BusinessObjects administrator. (Error: ERR_WIS_30272)". But the same instance when downloaded to .xls output has no issues. xls file once downloaded is of size around 350MB.

Currently, the paramter value of "Maximum Character Stream Size" is 50MB on all the WebI Processing servers of the environment.

FYI: Binary Stream Maximum Size is 2000MB.

Need suggestions/inputs/ideas:

Impact on increasing the Maximum character output size?

On what ratio we might need to increase the Maximum character output size?

Issue why only with .xlsx and not .xls?
