We are in a Business Objects 4.1 environment and I am having problems with scheduled jobs that email reports as attachments. I have tried to email both Excel and PDF formats and both are now working correctly.
When I run the report in BI, I can save the report as an Excel spreadsheet (i.e. xlsx),
I have tried to email an Excel file as an attachment and when I look at the actual email that is sent out by Business Objects, I see that the Content-Type for the Excel file shows up as "application/octet-stream", but since it is an Excel Spreadsheet, it should be showing up as "Content-Type: application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet".
Why is this happening and How can I resolve the problem?
