I am just installing Sapbi4.1. We use Enterprise 3.1 currently for Crystal Reports.The report source various databases including Oracle. CR requires a 32bit Oracle client. We want to use win 2012 server OS. Oracle 11G client gives an OS unsupported error during prelim install phase. I can check the verify box and it installs fineand 11g 32 bit ODBC connections test ok. If i install the Oracle 12G 32bit client i get no prelim install errors (all successful). But it seems Oracle supports no 32 bit client on win 2012 (only win2008 is mentioned for both 11G&12c 32bit clients that i can find).
Question:
What is everyone using for an Oracle 32bit client for crystal reports on there sapbi41 app servers for 32 bit data connections?
I'm thinking i will have to settle for win2008R2 and Oracle 32bit 11.2.0.4 in order to be supported by Oracle?
