Does a copied universe impact the original?

Good afternoon all,

I've searched the posts but can find nothing specifically answering this question.  Forgive me, i'm a little new to it all so terminology may be a bit guff.

So:

I imported the parent universe, which has 4 child universes. Saved this universe to a different directory then exported it to a sub folder of the original's.

My Question is basically if any of that will have any impact on the universes that already exist?

I did attempt to create a report from this copied universe but pretty much every object was incompatible with WIS 00008 error.
