Duplicate and distinct values

Hi All,

I have two tables calender year look up and shop facts.

I observed that calender _year contains sales revenue for 2004,2005,2006 and null data for 2002,2003.

So If I make a left outer join on calender look up table ,we will get year sales revenue report along with null values.

My query is when I click on year_right click ,I'm able to see 2002 and 2003 repeated years and If I click on distinct option at bottom left side ,I'm able to see 2002,2003, 2004,2005,2006.

Please check the attached document FYI,Kindly let me know which values do I need to prefer ?
