Need help on implementing a search in a filter

HI all,

I need urgent help from you guys.. please help me on this

I need to implement a criteria that, in the query level filter there will a filter with prompt message "Other text fields" if user enters a serach string, the word needs to be serach in some "30 to 40" different objects. Which are all objects containing the search content need to be displayed as concatinated column at report level (i.e., if serach word contains in 3 columns those 3 columns need to be display as single column at report level").

can we implement the other text field criteria through "PROCEDURES" if so please help me in writing procedures in universe or at DB.
