Hello, I have a requirement to average a list of values by month. These values have an associated start date and end date. So far, so good. I'll simplify the request down to 3 months for clarity as follows: There's a start date of Jan 2014, and end date of Mar 2014 and an associated value of 3,000. The requirement is to print out an average over the date range in monhts. So the results would be Jan 2014 - 1000, Feb 2014 - 1000 and Mar 2014 - 1000. The month of Feb 2014 isn't in the data set, even though we all know Feb is between Jan and Mar, it has no associated in the data set as it does not exist. Can I satisy this requirement at the report level? And if not, I can make a request to create a new universe object, but I am unsure of what to request. Any suggestions/thoughts would be MOST helpful.
Data elements in universe:
Start date: Jan 2014
End date: Mar 2014
Amount: 3000
Desired output as mentioned above:
Month Avg amount
Jan 2014 1000
Feb 2014 1000 (this is my roadblock- Feb 2014 doesn't exist in the data set)
Mar 2014 1000
