Scheduled Reports are failing

we are using business objects BO XI 3.1 and installed BMC Analytics and with that there is an universe and set of reports comes along with and we have scheduled few reports, however some of them are failing ....now how do we understand what is the cause of those failures? permission issue? or wahtever issue...which logs to check?

 

through central management console if we can check then where exactly can i find the root cause for these issues or where can i learn more about the failures...

How To Hide Duplicate Rows in Webi 4.1

Guys,

 

Am looking for a way to hide a duplicate rows in my Webi Report.  Basically, if the rows have exact the same values, then hide one of them.

Cross tab :

Some of the cells in the cross tab is blank even though the query in the query panel is returning data for it. I have not applied any filter or condition. It is direct mapping! Not even aggregation involved. Any suggestion to get it fixed?

I have requirement where I need to schedule report as .wid extension that needs to be in history and the same instance needs to get delivered as excel to users inbox.

Pass column values to next tab in Webi document

Hi,

 

I have 2 questions and trying to resolve the summary to detailed report drill-down

 

1. I am able perform RRI from summary report to a detailed report using the document linking method by passing the dimension values for each row. Is it possible to capture all the values from one column and pass them as array parameters to the detailed report through document linking?.

 

Screenshots 1 & 2  & 3.

 

 

2. How can I capture the column values in the summary( Refer Screenshot 1) into a variable and pass them as filter on the detailed tab ( Refer Screenshot 3) in the same Webi document instead of doing an RRI. User wants to have the summary and detailed in the same document as 2 separate tabs with the summary showing the Top 12 of the dimension and then the detailed should filter on these dimensions.

Correctly display Asian double-byte fonts

We have some data elements that contain a combination of English and also Asian double-byte character sets. However, unless the font on a column or object is manually changed from the default of Ariel to something like MingLiU or Simsun these characters will simply appear as boxes (See attachments). I am assuming that this is because Ariel has no equivalent characters to display. Is there some way that Webi can be set up to automatically switch fonts when presented with such data?

Range in filters, prompts and Input controls in Webi

Hi,

 

I have two fields. Date 1, Date 2.

I have to let the user pick the Range.

User Enters: From Date 1 to Date 2

How can I give the users range to enter using prompts or filters or input controls?

Please advise.

Dynamic Date range filter in SAP BO IDT to Webi reports

Dear all,

 

I have to put a date range filter in my webi report and by default my user needs it for previous month till current date.

At the same time there should be flexibility for the user to change the date range filter.

He don't want to go to edit query and do this. He needs a global filter.

 

So I created two parameters in IDT and created a derived table and applied the date range dynamically using:

 

date between @prompt('Enter From Date','D','','mono','Free',{add_months(select max(Month start date from view_name .....))})

and @prompt('Enter To Date','D','','mono','Free',{select max(Month start date from view_name where Month start date.....)})

 

 

in the Where condition. I need to  create this expression with a proper name as another object from where I could use it here.

I don't want this expression to be visible to the user. Instead it should be like either the date as such or some proper text.

 

 

Can anybody help me regarding creating this date range expression with proper names in IDT other than in the default value expression?

Help needed in combining results of 2 query

Hi,

 

I am trying display the results of two queries in BI 4.1 Webi as below, but having a problem with the sum of total backlog at break footer for Family. It is putting a sum of backlog for all parts in query 2 instead of query 1. (I have merged Family & Part Number dimension objects and also used unmerged dimensions from query 1, expecting it to work like left outer join).

 

One way is to restrict the query 2 also to fetch same Part numbers, but I am having some difficulties in doing that due to DB limitations on number of list of values passed in a query filter. So tried using the Sum (Total backlog In (query1.Family;query1.Part Number)), but it is not helping. Please suggest if there are any other alternate options.

Summary Rows display

Hi,

 

I have a report that has detail rows and then the sub total row for the Product Family Dimension.

I want to display only the Subtotal rows. Users do not want to see all the detail rows.

But the price is by product under each product family.

I have to use product for some calculations and to avoid getting Multivalued errors.

So I am using the Folding(Outline) option to hide all the detail rows.

But when I am refreshing the report with a different  set of prompt value then the report is loosing the folded look . All the detailed rows are visible again.

Any suggestions on how to achieve this?

Data showing in Edit mode but not in View Mode

Hello,

 

First time poster, but I've been developing reports in Web Intelligence for about 5 years.  We have a very unique environment.  I do not have the ability to modify universes.

 

Recently, I built a report and provided it to the end user, and when they ran the report, it did not show any data.  I went in to Modify the report (in Edit Mode) and all of the data was visible.  However, when I went to the typical "View" mode (Advanced, not Interactive), the data simply disappeared.

 

I have now seen this twice in two different environments. 

 

Has anyone ever seen this before?  Is there a setting to fix this?

Bo webi issue

I’m came across many docs n comments about this error.

But it’s not resolved as I followed the SAP note for Time out error.

In input parameter I’m fetching one year with all plant. It  takes more than 5 mins and Finally it throws error.

 

So plz help me out

Hi Guys,

 

I have a webi report based on an universe. It has only one query and when I refresh the report I am getting the error "An internal error occurred while calling 'processDPCommandsEx' API.(Error:ERR_WIS_30270).

When I checked the objects in the query, I found one measure object is causing the issue. When we parse it in IDT it parses and we can check the value of the measure as well in IDT. But when we try to create any new report with that measure object, I get this error.

 

Can anyone please help me on this issue?

Problem with 0CALMONTH and 0CALMONTH2 keys in Webi

I got a problem with 0CALMONTH and 0CALMONTH2 characteristics in BO 4.0 SP 2.13.  In Bex analyzer I can see the key fields of these characteristics, however when I create a universe I and try to build a report no value retruns for Key fields. The query only returns Text fields for 0CALMONTH and 0CALMONTH2. I thought this was a BO 4.0 problem but we have BOE 3.1 system as well we have the same issue in there also. In cube, I have both 0CALMONTH and 0CALMONTH2 characteristics.

When I put Key fields to filter pane and try to select on LOVs, the Key field returns values to LOV and I am able to select based on those values without a problem.

My colleague used these Key fields in many reports, dashboards and web services. Now that the reports does not work because of this problem. I think it happened after we applied Ehp 1 to BW system. Our BW is 7.01 SP 10 (SAPKW70110)

 

I have used these characteristics with Key values in BW 7.0, 7.01, and 7.3 systems without any problem. I also uprgraded the systems and still continued to use them without any issues.

 

Does anyone have any idea?

Hi, Initially 1st layout with Year element link should show up while the 2nd dest. layout is hidden. When Calendar year clicked in 1st layout i like to show 2nd layout for the same year with other columns.


I have this working fine except for both show when I refresh/open/view the report

InList () ---Both, And, Or, Only

I have a table like this.

 

Customer IDProduct
1Apple
2Apple
2Orange
3Apple
4Orange

 

As you can see, Customer 2 bought both Apple & Orange.


I want to count these customers who bought BOTH Apple & Orange.

 

To do that, I made the following variable.

 

No. of Customer

=count([ID]) Where ([Product] InList("Apple";"Orange")

 

Problem is that it counts every customer who has apple OR orange.

 

How can you do Both in Inlist()?

 

Is there such thing as:

InList(Both())...

InList(All())...

 

Could anyone please help me...?

Alerter/Conditional Formatting for duplicate values?

Hi everyone,

 

Is there a relatively simple way to highlight values in a column that appear more than once, similar to what you can do in Excel? For instance, I have a list of identification numbers in a table with related data in their corresponding rows, with ID's frequently appearing two/three which immediately follow one another. My goal is to apply conditional formatting to the duplicates in the column.

Error while refreshing structure in IDT

Hi all,

 

I have 4.1 BO version and single source universe.

 

I deleted 2 columns from my backend table and tried to refresh structure....it is giving me error that "column is not present in the table".....

Means it is not allowing me to refresh the structure. Can anyone have solution for this?

Hi Experts,

 

I have a requirement to create a webi report using UNX Universe and Excel.

 

The Universe has Agent,Class,Product, Count and Revenue value.

 

Excel has Product and Class, I want Class to be present from Excel in the Webi report.

 

Query 1:-(UNX):-Agent, Count and Revenue value

 

Query 2:-(Excel)Class and Product Value

 

Reason for using Class from Excel is value in Universe is large and we want a only specific value in this format:-

01 - A

02 - B

03 - C

04 - D

05 - D

07 - E

08 - F

09 - G

 

 

After creating the query i have merged the Product Value and Included the Class in the webi report but i get data like this:-

We want this to be repetitive and present for all Agent even if Agent have no Count or Revenue.

 

End Result should be like this in webi:-

 

I should be able to see the blank cell for all the Class whose Count and Revenue has Null value.
