Prompt with List of Values Error BI 4.1 SP3
Hi,
I have a report that uses a .UNX universe. When I add a new prompt to the report and select 'Prompt with list of values' in the prompt properties window and run the query then I get an error. The error message is:
Invalid Prompt definition. (IES 00005) (Error: INF)
If I edit the prompt and deselect 'Prompt with list of values' the report runs fine and I can add my prompt value. However I require the list of values to be shown for the prompt.
Has anyone else seen this and can anyone offer an explanation and/or a solution?

SAP BO Measure IS NULL function
Hi,
When i give the following line is SQL Server
SELECT SALE_TOTAL, DAYS_RENTED FROM SALE WHERE DAYS_RENTED IS NULL
the result is
SALE_TOTAL DAYS_RENTED
201545.15 NULL
14785.15 NULL
but same line in IDT is invalid
select SALE.SALE_TOTAL from SALE where SALE.DAYS_RENTED IS NULL
what function should i use in where clause to get same result.

How to embed a website into WEBI doucment
I have seen some posts where website can be inserted in WEBi and a hyper link can be created a between webi data and website, passing the values. How can i do this? I have never used IFRAME, can anyone provide me the steps to open IFRAME and embed the website. Thanks in advance.

Multiple Single Values (100+) via Bex Query
I have a Bex Query that I need to enter potentially 100+ multiple single values into, which in Bex I can do fine by using ";". Unfortunately that option does not exist in Webi, and giving a range or interval won't meet the requirements. Are there any other options? Is there a way to pass the list from another Webi Query and use that list to filter when I run the Bex Query in Webi? The way Webi seems to work with Bex is it runs the Bex query and only after can I apply filters, what I need to do is filter when I run the Bex query.
Example:
Main Query: Need to filter on 100 Materials
--- Fine in Bex, can separate using ;
--- Webi the User needs to manually enter all 100 Materials, not feasible.
Sub Query: Can execute easily and get list of 100 Materials
--- Can I use this Sub Query to apply to the Main Query at run-time?
The impression I get from Webi and Bex is I can filter at two points, at run-time when it goes to retrieve the data from BI, and after when I'm in the report. If this is correct then the filter I need to do is at run-time and not after. Hopefully there is a way to do this, I'd hate to scrap using BOBJ for this report due to this bizarre limitation. :-/

Conditional formatting in WebI 4.0 with Analysis view as source
Hi,
I have got an issue when trying to apply a conditional formatting on a measure variable (created using a Bex Query measure) in WebI.
It worked for me on other WebI docs if that WebI was directly connected to a BeX query but in this case the WebI is built upon a analysis view that has been created using Analysis for OLAP (connected to a BeX query). When I click on the measure for which I want to create the conditional formatting rule, the icon in the WebI toolbar stays grey. Is there any restriction with using conditional formatting in WebI with Analysis view as a source?

Data disapear in Webi 3.1 SP6
Hello
Since we have installed the SP6 patch2, something wrong appens.
When we open a refreshed report with webi, data are in place in tabs, it's normal. But if we go in the edit window and return with no change , data disapear .
I found a similar issue but no solution.
Somebody can help ?

Excel date format changing when taken snapshot
Hi,
I am sorry if I am posting this question in the wrong space.
I am using a Line Chart in which I want my X-Axis to be shown in the "dd/mm" format, this data is coming from my Web-Service connection.The cells to which i have binded my Chart's X-Axis has General format , as well as the Chart's X-Axis format is kept as General.On the Dashboard it is seen properly, but when I take a snapshot some number formats in excel but not all change to Custom.I understand that since it is Date, excel's number format automatically converts to Custom.My question is that then how come it is shown properly in Dashboard and why not all cells number format change to Custom.Do I need to change the number format in my Line Chart to show it in d/mm format.
I hope I have made myself clear.
Any help on this will be appreciated.

Fold/Unfold (Outline) in BO 4.0 Webi Report - in Reading Mode do not work
I have BO 4.0 Webi report with fold/unfold functionality(Outline). It works fine when I open it in Design mode but do not work in Reading mode. Could anyone please advise if they have faced such issue?

Not able to display 0REGION values in the webi report.
Hi All,
0REGION is has the compounding Atrr 0CUNTRY. in BI side I'm able to see the data when run the Bex report for region. but in Webi report data is not displaying for 0REGION. it is displaying as Not assigned . but there is the data can see in bex report
I have tried with below options.
1. i have included 0CUNTRY next REGION in the report. it is not working.
2.included sold to party , country , region in the report ..it is also not working.
Could you please let me know how can display the data for the objects which are having the compounding Attr, is there any setting to do in Webi report ?

Strange Config Issue
Hi guys,
we saw some really strange behaviour recently regarding the configuration of Business Objects in one of our environments,
Basically reports stopped working randomly.
A few months ago we uninstalled Business Objects from the C: drive on our server and moved it to D:
The change was successful, Reports have been working fine since and it was all signed off.
When we troubleshooted this is an example of what we could see in the logs -

CreateProcess: "D:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting3\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\AADMining.exe" -JTCss 1024 -loggingPath "D:/Program Files (x86)/CA/SC/CommonReporting3/BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0/logging/" -fg -restart -name Server1234.PredictiveAnalysisServer -pidfile "D:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting3\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\serverpids\Server1234_Server1234.PredictiveAnalysisServer.pid" -ns Server12346.company.com:6400 error=2
We also saw similar for the other servers, not just PredictiveAnalysis. So we ran a repair of Business Objects. It was as though the config had reverted to a C: drive location. So when we corrected this to D: and rebooted, all was well again.
What we would like to determine is how this could have happened?
Has anyone else experienced similar? Is there an explanation for it? How do we avoid it happening to us again in the future?

Automated Reports Modification
Hi All,
My existing scenario as below,
Data contained in 1 single DB-1 (across n tables), 1 Universe existed (U1) & 1 webi document using U1 with many reports representing many KPIs.
(Many WEBI reports exist like above)
Now a new requirement,
Due to volume of data, there is a decision to distribute the data across 2 DBs or even 3 DBs. i.e., same schema would exist in 2/3 DBs with different data set. So, all existing reports may need to support data retrieval from 2 or 3 DBs instead of 1(as earlier)
Current Plan:
1. Create 1 universe per DB (i.e., same copy per DB)
2. Create copy of every existing report & modify new report to replicate everything from existing report but obtain from 2 or 3 universes (instead of 1)
Questions:
1. Since there are many reports looking for suggestions to possibly auto the above plan. Is it possible to automate with either Java or Restful SDK? any possible issues?
2. Any other way possible to achieve same result but easier than the 'current plan'?
