Hello everyone,
I'm creating a dashboad using B.O. Webi,
When applying the filters, In any of them if I choose 'NOT IN LIST" or "NOT EQUAL", it results in this error: "mddatasetbw.getcelldata (ies 10901) (errror: inf".
Therefore if I use "IN LIST" or "EQUAL TO", it does work fine.
Does anybody there know how to solve this issue?

While converting a Free Hand SQL report from Desktop Intelligence to Web Intelligence report in BI XI 3.1, I am faced with the problem

Using WebI 4.0
I can group measures into a Block but I don;t know how to align the measure to the new group name and I need to have trhem arranged in a custom order that is not any sort order.
Example:
[Customers] [Sales]
Customer 1 100
Customer 2 200
Customer 3 300
Customer 4 400
Customer 5 100
Customer 6 200
[Custom Group]
Customer 1; Customer 3 into "East Group"
Customer 2; Customer 4 into "Central Group"
Customer 5; Customer 6 into "West Group"
Wanted Output:
Custom Group Name Sales
East Group 400
Central Group 600
West Group 300
Total 1,300
I will want to have other measures too but if I can do this I trust I can figure out how to add those measures to the block.
I used IF(MATCH( to get the correct measures grouped. I looked at INTO to group things and place them into a Variable but no luck.

Hi guys i am trying to create a between formulas between 2 dates.
so here is what i have done.
i have created a formula to get the fiscal year from calender year
its converted to number
then i need "fiscal year -8" year
for e.g fy year is 2014
fy-8 = 2006.
i want my report to show only the data between 2006 and 2014 and disregard all the previous year. the data will change when we move to 2015 then it wil be 2015 - 2007 and going forward.
how do i write the "between current fiscal year and fiscal year -8"

I want to compare the data between the generated instances/refreshed data of a report. I have tried DATA TRACKING feature in webi but not successful as per the requirement..
In tracking there is a feature "Compare with data Refresh from". when we choose this option, there will be maximum two selections (last two instances of the report). The selected instance will be the reference data.
This option will give the difference between the most recent data and the selected one. Selected one can be the latest refreshed data or latest instance data of scheduled report.
So the requirement is to compare not only with last instance, but with each and every previous instances too. Please let me know if there is anyway to achieve that ?

I have a requirement where I need to calculate best reading of seven last days.
So for example today is Oct 2 and data is something like following:-
Date Reading
Oct 1 10.3
Sep 30 15.3
Sep 29 12.3
Sep 28 17.5
Sep 27 11.26
Sep 26 9.23
Sep 27 15.0
In above example I would just want to see Sep 28 values in the table.
How can I do that?
Report has 45 days worth data.
Please suggest.

Hi,
We have 8 divisions that we merge into three divisions. The sales of the divisions are calculated from different measures and we end up with three Custom Measures, one for each of the three grouped divisions.
I can pull the three divisions together into a block but I do not know how to assign a name to the numbers; I end up a Variable Measure with three numbers and no label to the numbers. Also, I need to assign a sort order as neither the text or the number are the sort order.
I tried to find an operator like INTO or AS so I could name the [MEasures} as I brought them into the single variable bit no success. Also, I need to add a sort order.
So, I need to turn
Custom variable: [Measure 1]
Custom variable: [Measure 2]
Custom Variable: [Measure 3]
into
LABEL NUMBER SORT (neither the label or number is a sort order)
Div 1 3,000 2
Div 2 1,000 1
Div 3 5,000 3

First of all I really apologize as I could not think of a better heading for my question.
Now my question. I am working on a Scorecard application where I need to calculate Input Yield percentage for everyday production and consumption.
The logic is something like that:-
Wile producing 'XXX' material we use 'YYY' and 'ZZZ' material.
The way Input Yield percentage is calculated is :-
Input Yield % for YYY = YYY qty Consumed / XXX qty Produced
Input Yield % for ZZZ = ZZZ qty Consumed / XXX qty Produced
In webi We have two tables. First table gives everyday Produced qty another table gives consumption of two materials.
Input yield should be calculated in third table.
How can I do that?
Please suggest something.

We are migrating our system from SAP BO 4.0 SP6 to SAP 4.1 SP4. where Universe is based on SAP HANA Database
In report, we have used element linking to connect 2 tables, one is for summary and other one is detailed information table. 2 tables are linked by month field such that when we select any month in summary table, then detailed information table will appear and will show detailed info for that month only.
To implement this we have used the "Hide when formula is true" table property.
And wrote a condition that when count(Month) > 1 then it will hide.
this condition is working fine in Old BO version (BO 4.0 sp6) but not working in BO4.1sp4.
I had tried to modify the condion(used different condiition ) but it is not working in BO4.1sp4.

Hi All,
I have a Webi report on a BEx query using BICS (No Universe)
One of the BEx variable is on 0PROFIT_CTR and it has time dependent text.
When the query is executed in BW side (in RSRT), the query by default uses current date (0DAT) as the Key Date.
So only the latest text of Profit Centers are displayed in the variable screen.
Now, when the Webi report is refreshed, Profit Center prompt (not Webi defined, but the BEx variable), shows all texts (both old and the current date ones) in the LOV window. It seem the Key Date is not being used and texts of Profit Center is not restricted to current date.
Any idea how to make the prompt show only the current text?

I have been working on the SAP BO 4.0, SP5.
I develop report files(.wid) in Web Intelligence Rich Client.
Universes for these report files are developed in Universe Design Tool,
all the universes are created using stored procedure returning a ref cursor.
Once I am finished with a development of a report files(.wid),
I reuse these report files for different environments/databases, by performing following steps.
1]Copy the report file(.wid) and universe file(.unv).
2]Change the connection of copied universe file, specific to new environment/database.
3]Add or modify few objects of universe if required.
3]finally change a source of copied report file(.wid), point it to newly copied universe file.
Using Change Source Wizard (Data Access -> Tools -> Change Source)
While performing a last step i.e. changing a source of a report file, I often have to remap multiple objects,as shown
in our case as the the number of objects are more , this process is very time consuming, so my question would be,
is there a way to simplify this process,like can we sort our stored procedure result set in any particular order? Or
While developing universe sort objects in any particular order? which will help us to avoid object remapping.

I have a Webi report which is on top of 2 BEx queries connected through BICS. The Webi report has more than 4 crore records which makes it difficult to load each time when I refresh. I need to schedule this report so that the user can view the report based on the last instance.
The report has 3 prompts namely Plant, Material and As of Date.
The user uses only Plant and As Of Date. There are only two plants for example A and B. The user needs to run the report for each plant separately for all the days.
Suppose today is 03/07/2013.
The user will run the report with Plant A and As of Date: 03/07/2013 and second time with Plant B and As of Date: 03/07/2013.
Next today is 04/07/2013.
The user will run the report with Plant A and As of Date: 4/07/2013 and second time with Plant B and As of Date: 4/07/2013.
I need your expert opinion in achieving this while scheduling. Hope you understood the scenario and will be helping me out in this.

I am at a loss for how to access the RESTful web services in Business Objects Enterprise XI 4.0. According to the installer this is updated to SP5 but the options for RESTful Web Services are not present. I added Business Process BI Service and Web Services SDK and QaaWS to my WACS server but this has not changed anything. There is no option in the installer to add RESTful web services to the instance, and they do not show up in the Applications list in the CMC.
What am I missing? I need to access the web services in order to use the reports on the server from a web application (ASP/VBScript).

I am trying to create a heat map and display blocks with conditional formatting of red, yellow and green and so I am using the format chart and palette's properties to use 'internal palette' and set range values for three colors. Version is 4.1 Sp04.
The problem is that we want to display the blocks green if 100% or greater, but the color zones do not allow for Max value to exceed 100.
So the heat map displays blocks greater than 100 as grey instead of green.
Any ideas?
