I'm using BOXI 3.1 WebI and have a need to show multiple values of a column in a comma delimited list.  I tried using a horizontal table but if the list goes over the right margin it creates a new page instead of wrapping to the next line like we want.  I can do what I want in Oracle sql using the WM_CONCAT aggregate function but haven't found a way to do it in WebI reports.  Has anyone figured out a way to do this?

Hello,

We are using WEBI 4.0 SP6 with BICS/BEx Queries and BW Hierarchies. Our prompts are based on BEx Variables.

I have a question regarding hierarchies containing text nodes and the possibility to display either the medium length text or the long text instead of the short text in a webi prompt based on a bex hierarchy node variable.

A hierarchy containing text nodes is created in BW and a prompt is created in a BEx query with a bex hierarchy node variable.

A WEBI report is created using this bex query as datasource.

The text nodes in the hierarchy in the prompt in WEBI are always displayed with their short text.

I also have a hierarchy with text nodes which have only medium-length text defined and in this case only the first 20 characters from the medium text are displayed for the text nodes in the webi prompt.

Is this a known limitation or is there a way how to display the medium length text or long text for text nodes in a bex variable prompt?

Hi everbody.. i trying to run report with 300.000 row.query runs about 20 minutes.

i set corba timeout time

and everything its ok in web intelligence rich client..report runs in 20 minutes.

but i trying to run the report in launcpad.it gives me below error;

looks like i must change another service parameter value, but i coundt it.. any suggestion would be helpful.

I have this requirement to create a WEBI report having 2 date prompts(START DATE,END DATE).

Client wants to have a condition on the prompt so that START DATE should be always less than END DATE and if the user enters a date for END DATE which is less than the START DATE , it should throw a ERROR message.

Is this functionality achievable in WEBI?

Hello everyone,
I'm using BusinessObjects 4.1 Support Pack 2 and then everytime I try to add a source from my company network (an excel file at a server), I get the error:

The directory "C:\\Users\<user>\Downloads\ShellFolder: 0x11" does not exist."

What do I have to do at this case? I have already tried to create a folder called "ShellFolder" by my self but it did not work.

I have two reports Report1(Summary) and Report2 (Detail) as mentioned below

Report1: Year(Dim), State(Dim),SalesRev(Meaure)

Report2:Year(Dim), State(Dim),City(Dim),SalesRev(Meaure)

Prompts: Year and State

Requirment: I need to click on any cell in SalesRev column in Report1, Then it should pass the relevant Year and State to Report2.

i.e when i click on 20000 in Report1, then Report2 should display the data for 2001 and TN

Year   State       City    SalesRev

2001   TN      Chennai   20000

I have Installed BO 4.1 SP3 in two Laptops.I am working on Web Intelligence reporting.Now I have a problem regarding fonts in webi.

Fonts as in if I apply the font size as 20 in Data Values in one laptop and 8 in other laptop they both are looking same in the Page mode as well as in the Landscape and Portrait mode. So what should be done to resolve this issue in the laptop where Font size as 20 ? A quick reply would be a great help, as its very urgent.

i want to decode these two values as n/a and want to keep rest of values as it is.

I've got some strange issue here.

We've recently migrated some reports from BOXI R3 to BO 4.1 SP1 of which a report named XYZ is displaying in 1 page in XI R3 infoview in Quick Display Mode. The same report XYZ in BO 4.1 SP1 BI Launch Pad, it is getting distributed to more number of pages.

Here the data being retrieved is also same. Same filters, conditions what not, everything is same. Only thing is total number of pages is different when comparing between XI R3 and BO 4.1 Report.

However, if we see the same report XYZ in page mode, no:of pages are matching in both XI R3 and BO 4.1 Reports.

Did anyone go the similar issue?

Can someone throw some light on what could be the issue?

Hello everybody.

I'm trying to do a report in BO WebI using BICS connection.

• I have three dimensions (UF, LOCAL and CALMONTH).
• And one key figure coming from the BW Query.

This key figure coming from BW can have both positive and negative values.

I have to create a table that consider only the positive values, so I created a new variable (VAR1, qualification: measure) like below:

=If([value] > 0) Then [value]

This variable works fine when I insert all the dimensions in the table, but when I try to consolidate the table for the LOCAL dimension, it doesnt works. I think that this problem is because it tries to do the formula AFTER the aggregation.

Below I can explain better the situation:

1) A table with the raw BW key figure [value] and all dimensions:

Removing LOCAL dimension

This is OK, since it considers positive and negative and aggregate (sum) it.

2) A table with VAR1 and all dimensions

This should consider only positive values, and it works fine when table have all dimensions

Removing LOCAL dimension

This is my issue, I want this table only with Local dimension but I needed that the result = 300 (considering only 100 and 200 from L1 and L3)

But, it sums everything first and than process my variable formula, but its too late...:)

How can I solve this problem? (I'm trying to solve in BO first instead of solve in BW).
