Distributing multiple BO reports in single e-mail ?

Hi Everyone,

 

Hi Everyone,

 

I want to schedule 2 BO reports and sent to users e-mail as PDF. (All the user should see all data.)

When I schedule 2 reports separately, the user is getting 2 e-mails.(Each mail for each reports).

 

My Requirement:- 

 

User should get only one mail but with 2 PDF’s (each for each report) / Zip file.

Is it possible with publication or Is there any other way to achieve it ?

 

Note:-

I hope that we will go for publication only when there is a restriction for user.

How to automate scheduling BO Web Intelligance Reports ?

Hello Experts ,

 

I am working on BO 3.x version . As per the client requirement , we have to schedule almost 10+ reports daily using infoview . This is a really tedious task which takes almost half an hour daily . Can anybody please help me out on how I can automate scheduling of reports itself ?

How does Max function works?

How do Max function work with strings? I can´t understand it.

 

We have the following strings but I don't understand why Webintelligence keeps marking 1:58 as the max string? If clearly 13: is the max string

Scheduling and embedding BO Reports in SharePoint

Hi,

We have a very restricted and locked down environment, so I am looking for some creative ways for scheduling and embedding BO Reports in
SharePoint. Goal is to publish weekly BO Reports, exported in Excel, to a document library on SharePoint, and/or to refresh embedded data in a SharePoint Web Part. Already tried scheduling to a SharePoint directory using UNC path, but it failed to access without giving a descriptive error message (Destination failed). A third party software, or direct connection to SAP is out of the question per our Administrators (performance, security, etc.). Looking to hear from anyone who had similar challenges and has come up with a “home-grown” solution.

How to add Text to Respective Columns at the end of each group

Hi Experts,

 

In my BO webi report i want to show the text of corresponding groups

 

Please find the attached sample excel

 

Eg:

 

1000-1999 column values under that i have to show Employees

2000-2999 column values under that i have to show Services

 

like this i have to show upto 9000-9999

 

Kindly help me in this regard.

BI launchpad is not accessible but CMC is working

Hi All,

 

 

We are working on recovery method of BO system to gain knowledge in case of disaster and recovery.

 

We are replicating our SAP BO 4.1 SP2 system in another system as per Replicating the SAP BI 4.x Environment and .

We are able to access CMS successfully and see all the components but APS is running with errors due to Promoition management service didn't start.

 

Even BI Launchpad is not accessible.

User input control for more than one tab in webI

Hi experts,

 

is it possible to use a user input control for more then one tab in a webI.

What I want to do is to create a webI with two tabs. When I create a user input control, then the filter only takes effect on one tab. for the second tab, I have to create  another user input control.

Is there any solution for my problem?

Every week and every month a snapshot of the inventory amounts is taken, with a breakdown into the various types of inventory.

The data looks like this (example for monthly snapshots; the weekly snapshots have the same structure):

    “210408” = the snapshot taken at the end of August 2014.

    In a WebI report we want to show how much each type of inventory contributes to the increase/decrease of the total inventory between
    period X and period Y. How can we do this without having to hardcode the 2 periods X and Y?

 

 

In our ideal solution the user would be able to freely choose the 2 periods between which he wants to see the deltas.

 

 

Another acceptable solution would be that the report dynamically displays the deltas between the latest available period (in this case 201411,

i.e. November 2014) and the one-before-latest period (in this case 201410, i.e. October 2014).

 

Any suggestion welcome

I was trying to format it to highlight all above 0.20% and it does not highlight it. I am not sure what the issues is. Format is %.

Hiearchies are not displaying properly in webi report

Hi,

 

In my BO webi report some of the Hierarchys are not visible and the same hierarchies am able to see in BW Report.

 

 

kindly help me on this where i can show all hierarchies in Webi report

Hello All,

 

I have a requirement to create a cross tab contains 3 measure values and two dimensions.

 

My requirement is :


                            Equity                                       Debt                                    FDI

Cuntry       2010   2011   2012   2013        2010   2011  2012  2013         2010  2011  2012  2013




But when I created a cross tab i am getting below result.

Hana Sourced Input Parameters & Variables as Webi Filters

Gurus not sure if I should post this in Webi, IDT, or Hana forum so going with were the problem shows the worst.  We recently upgraded to Version: 4.1 Support Pack 4 Patch 4 before this we couldnt use Hana Input parameters in WebI documents now we can but there is a slight issue.

 

In Hana the Input Parameter/Variable has a description like this:

 

Plant:

in Design Studio it shows properly.

 

But when it shows in the webi prompt box it looks like this:

 

Plant: [MACH1.Extensions_Custom.IMWM.Query/CA_IMWM_ALL_TO/MSEG_WERKS_IP]

 

Everything in the [] is defining where the prompt is coming from and the name of the input parameter it makes the box very hard to read especially when you have 5-6 lines like this.

 

Has anyone else encountered this?

Mutiple dimension values

Hi,

 

I have a Webi Report with the following scenario.

 

Data source 1 - Project ID (char dimension), Manager Name (char dimension)
Data source 2 - Project ID (char dimension), Benefits Type (char dimension), Benefits Amount (measure) 

 

Now, I have merged Project ID from both sources and created detail variables for Manager Name& Benefits Type with the merged "Project ID" as the associated dimension .

 

Report Columns are - Project ID (merged), Manager Name (detail variable), Benefits Type (detail variable), Benefits Amount (measure).

 

However, I am getting some mutivalue errors in the "Benefits Type" column which makes sense because there can be mutiple Benefits Type for a project. I just want the mutiple values to be displayed in mutiple rows.

 

Could anyone please help resolve this issue?

Can't select prompt options

I have a Webi report in Business Objects 4.1 that has prompts.  There are hundreds of users that run this report successfully every day. However, I have one user that can't click on the prompts that they want to select. The prompts are listed correctly, but when she clicks the option nothing happens.  She can't double click or single click and use the over arrow.  She has to manually type the option she wants in the box at the top and hit enter to select it. Most of the time this is OK, but sometimes it's a big pain.

 

I'm assuming this has to have something to do with her settings or preferences and not the report itself since she's the only one with the problem. However, I can't seem to find anything in her preferences that might be messing with it. The one thing that helps is to switch her view preferences to Applet instead of HTML, but that drastically slows down the report speed.

 

Has anyone heard this before or know how to fix it?

Saving changes to a recurring instance in Webi

I have 20+ Webi reports that are scheduled to email an Excel file to various recipients on the 27th of each month. These have been running for several months w/o issue. However, now I need to change the email address of the person who is cc'd on all 20+ reports. I prefer to do this prior to 12/27 (next scheduled instance), as I'll be out of the office several days and want to make sure the recipient list is correct. I can obviously change the "recurring" instance to reflect the new email address, but the only button available is "Schedule" which actually schedules an instance of the report at that moment. I don't want recipients to receive the report on 12/2--the day I'm making the change--I only want to  "Save" the changes to the recurring schedule so that the proper recipients receive the report on 12/27. Is there a way to make a change to a recurring instance without actually running the instance at the time the change was made? Our system is BI 4.1 SP04 Patch 1. Also...I was unable to find any information on scheduling and publications in later version of the help documentation. Thanks!

How to get measure sum with out taking document number in webi

Hello Gurus,

 

I am facing a critical issue in my project which need to deliver very urgently please provide solution on the below issue.

 

I am creating a chart in webi with vendor and count GR completed but if i am creating the count of GR completed is coming zero.

 

 

Count of GR is calculating based based on document number and document item, if it take document number and document type in resultant object

The report is showing like below

 

vendor      document number      document type      count of GR completed

 

Asia tel      10000003                       PA                           1

Asia tel      10000044                       SA                           0

Asiatel       10000035                       TA                            1

                                                       Total                        2

 

But my requirement is i want like this

 

Vendor            Count GR Completed

Asiatel                   2(Total of the above)
