Adding Row in cross tab and planned numbers

Hello one and all!

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me.

In a crosstab is it possible to add a row below and then add numbers going across this row to the cells?

 

I have referral actual numbers for the month going across the top and below this I would like to add the planned number of referrals that have been pre-calculated and will not change.

Basically I’m having to add forward plan numbers for the next financial year so each month I have the actual number of referrals and then below or above this I need to have a row and have the planned number of referrals for each of the months. Again below this I will have a variance and a variance %.

Is this possible to do at all?

If this doesn’t make any sense please let me know and I will try and explain it a little better!

WEBI BEx Prompt LOV is not being displayed

I've 2 WEBI reports. Report 1 is based on PO Line item BEx query and Report 2 is based on G/L Line item BEx query. I'm using G/L account as prompt in both the reports by defining variable in BEx.

 

Report 1 (PO Line items) returns the LOV for G/L account when click on Refresh'.

Report 2 (G/L Line item) returns LOV as 'No values to display'

 

I ran Report 2 in BEx Analyzer and variable shows the LOV. We're on BI 4.1 SP 5.

 

I also checked the properties for G/L account in both the queries and they exactly match.

 

What could be the issue with G/L Line item for not displaying LOV for G/L account?

WEBI 4.1 - merge line items

Hi,

 

I have 2 BEx queries.

 

Query 1

Order Item Date1

111     10   20150101

111     20   20150303

111     30   20150602

 

Query 2

Order Item Date2

111     10   20150507

111     20   20150403

 

What I would like to achieve:

Order Item   Date1       Date2

111     10     20150101 20150507

111      20    20150303 20150403

111      30    20150602

 

I can merge the orderno, but that results in item referencing problems.

I tried to create 2 variables and concatenate order and item. However merging variables is a no-go area.

 

We use BO 4.1 support pack 5.

As said before no universe involved, both are BEx queries.

I am not able to create the concatenations in the SAP backend.

Delete several calculated objects in one time

Dear all,

 

 

It should be an easy question...but I can not find the answer unfortunately...

 

I have around 60 calculated variables in my document and I need to delete most of them.

How can I delete several ones in one time ??

I can only click right and then "delete" but only one after another...

 

And the document refreshed itself and bring me back to the top everytime...

created view and exported by creating universe named "universe6"in web intelligence, Now creating new universe named "universe8" and linking "universe6" and "universe1" universe.  when joining table  view table and exiting tables getting error. By this not able to get the join records from two tables

I have a requirement to print page number by section : I tried this but it showing # RECURSIVE ERROR.

 

="Page: " + Page() + " of " + NumberOfPages() In Section

Counting returning customers

Hello everybody.

 

I am trying to work out how to count returning customers from the previous year for a report i'm currently writing and i'm really struggling.  The data is part of a BEX and I have 2 objects, first is the account reference number and the second is the year.  Account reference number lists all of the unique accounts that we have dealt with against the year, so if account number 000001 purchased stuff in 2013 and 2015, but not 2014, then the account number will only show up in Year 13 and 15.

The idea is to create a small summary table, whereby it provides a count of the number of customers that have purchased stuff from us in Year 13 and Year 14 or a count of the customers that have purchased items from us in Year 14 and 15.

want to treat space/blank/null value as "status selction value i.e. met"

Hi,

 

I want to create one object named as "MET" like  or qualification will be = Count(Incident ID]) ForEach([status]) Where( [status] = "Met" ) and in this "Met" I also want to count those Incidents which have status= "NULL/blank"

 

I have used iIsNull() function but it doesnt work.

 

please suggest

Security modification

Greetings
,

We just upgraded to BI 4.1 and for licensing purposes the new user classifications is as follows:

a. Report users: can access BI Launch Pad to consume reports only. They cannot create new reports or edit data provider


b.Power WebI users:

consume reports, also create new reports and edit the data provider

Currently, all users are organized in groups and the groups are pretty much “Power WebI Users” (b)

For the new setup at least one user in each group is Power WebI user, the rest are Report users


What is the best way to setup the security?

#Torefresh & Dynamic Recipients

I have a Webi report that is working perfectly if you run it in Webi or setup a standard publication to create an Excel or PDF file.  However, when I use the Webi document in a publication using Dynamic Recipients, I am getting a #torefresh message.

 

The message shows where I am showing a BEx calculated key figure within a section in the report.  The same key figure is displayed elsewhere in the body of a report in the document. So only when its within a section I get the issue.   This suggests that the retrieval mechanism when using Dynamic Recipients is different to the norm - any ideas on how I resolve

 

Suggestions on getting around this issue

 

(Yes - I have read many blogs and posts on #refresh already but have yet to find one where it happens in Sections that solves my issue).

Webi Reports- Barcode issues

Hi All,

 

I have a simple webi report that will shows the bc39 barcode fonts. When the report is in HTML mode they see the  barcode numbers.  When they need to print they have to view in PDF mode, this is when the numbers are seen as a Barcode.

 

But quiet frequently in PDF mode users are unable to view the Barcode and system is showing only codes.

 

I would be greteful if you could please let me know how i can fix this issue.

link between different tabs within same webi document ?

Can we create a link between multiple tabs ( reports ) within a single webi document ?

 

I have two tabs in a single webi document , one at level of market segment ( block 1 , tab1 ) and another at level of cost center ( block 2 , tab 2) and I want to drill down from Market segment to cost center within same webi document .

Conection to DB and Webi Sessions

Hi All,

 

We are on BO 4.1 SP05 with Sql Server 2008 as backend.  We have reports which take long time to run, approx. 20 to 25 mins.

Is there a way where we could kill BO sessions with Also Killing DB sessions (its IMP requirement).

Right now what we have seen is , in middle of running query , if user closes the report , query still runs in backend though report is closed.

We could you query timeout in Universe parameters but I guess it wont kill DB session.

 

Is there a way to kill both BO and DB session if BO report is closed?

Calculation is incorrect while doing Sum

Hi Team,

 

I have the below data in one of my Webi report in XI4.1 SP6

 

I have a created a variable in the webi report as follows :

 

=NoFilter(Sum([ABC]) In ([DEF)]

 

For this variable I have values as follows :

 

12345

45678

91011

 

then I wan to apply total sum on these values, the final result will be 149034 which is correct.

 

But I am getting wrong result in XIR4.1 where as in XIR2 i am getting the corrcet result

How to avoid #multivalue when using First and Last Functions with a Date dimension

Hello I have a table with the following data showing multiple transaction dates. I need to pull the dates where a specific function is true so I have created a variable to check. I only need the first date the "check" is true and the last date the "check" is true. I tried using the First function and the Last function but I get the first or last record or the table or the District.

Install SAP BI 4.1 client on Linux or Windows??

Hi All,

 

Just installed SAP BI 4.1 SP1 server on linux machine.

 

My question is, now I want to install SAP BI 4.1 client. Can I install it on Linux machine or should I install it on windows machine as it contain thick client like UDT, Webi etc.??

 

Please suggest for this.
