#DATA Sync & # CONTEXT error in BI 4.1 with ECC 6 environment

I am getting the #DATA Sync & # CONTEXT error in BI 4.1 with ECC 6 environment. When i am adding Excel Sheet as asecondary source for BO report am getting this error. because of below,

 

 

Ecc data

 

Profit center -- 000100

Fiscal Year --- 2,014

Posting Period - 1  to12

Amount 2000

 

 

Excel Data

 

Profit center -- 000100

Discharge Date --- Q1 2014, Q2 2014,

Discharge Port --- Excelerate or Expediate, etc

 

I ahve created report Using ECC Data like, Profit center,Fiscal Year,Posting Period and Amount.

 

Now i want to Add from Excel Discharge Date and Discharge Port am getting the #DATA Sync & # CONTEXT error or Imcompatible object.

because i am anot able to merge these objects with ECC Objects. Can anyone suggest me what i can do to achieve this?

Hi Experts,

 

Created report on 6 Bex quries and i merged objects in webi.

 

Filters applied in Bex.

 

As i tried to create user response getting as DATATYPE or Blank.

 

Example:

 

Promt: BRANCH

 

Merged Objects in Webi: ZBRANCH_AREA

 

I tried by userresponse like this.

 

=userresponse("BRANCH")

=userresponse("ZBRANCH_AREA")

 

By this am getting result DATATYPE

Copy WebI content as image

Hi,

 

Do you know if there is a way in Webi v4.1 to copy all the contents (e.g. charts, tables) of a report as an image so we can paste it into a Powerpoint?

 

Due to data sources / product versions, we have discarded the use of LiveOffice / Analysis for Office.

webi report filters changing dynamically.

Dear all,

 

we are facing strange issue  in Bi launchpad, we had a webi report with four Report Filters ,

 

when we scheduled it.the latest scheduled instance used to fetch some times two report filters and other times all the  four report filters.

 

it is uncertain why it is fetching dynamically these filters.

 

there is no stability in displaying the filters.

 

please guide us in identifying the issue and troubleshoot.

 

Product configuration is follows:


SAP Business Objects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 4 Patch 5

Version: 14.1.4.1509

how much level of sections allowed in WEBI report

Hi There,

 

        I create 5 level sections. but refreshing is very slow, can not even get result. if I remove thise 5 level sections, report running well. can you please suggest if there is restriction about how much level of sections allowed in webi report?

I have created one webi report from 3 different query, using merge dimension i have merged 3 query and all is working fine.

 

I have created one dimension(Object) in webi repor its text , I want to add this dimension into Merge Dimension.

 

Please let me know how to do this.

Drill filters are not wokring properly

HI All,

 

Please help me to solve this problem.

 

In one of my requirement, we have created one dimension based on one measure by comparing values. But when we try to use that dimension as a Simple filter or Input control it's not working properly. We have  used that object in our report to chcek, whether condition is working fine. It provides excat result. But filter is not working.

 

for eg:

 

Measure

 

Delay %  = Delay/Total Delay(0.0 to 1.0)

 

Dimension:

 

Flag =  if( Delay %>=1) then "Yes" else "No"

 

When we trag flag object to report, it works perfectly.

 

But when we create a filter or Input control it shows only Yes.

 

We are using BI BO 4.1 SP4 version. backend is Oracle DB.

Unable to configure Gmail smtp server

Hi,

 

I want to test to schedule a report and send it through email.

 

I followed this topic: A practical approach - How to Configure Gmail on SAP BusinessObjects

 

But when I do this and check the Metrics of the Adaptive Job Server, I still have a failed status on Email (even after restarting the job).

 

I'm using SAP 4.1 SP3

 

Is there any test I can do?

Do you have an example of the config file of stunnel?

Count webi report

Hi,

 

 

My requirement is need to get the count of Break down for Calendar Year/month.

 

But the above screen shot if u look up for the month of "Jun 2013" i have 2 count,but the Last Column is " Count " shows as "2"

 

Actually i need to use only Calendar Year/Month ..If i use remove the " Calendar Day" Last Column for the month Jun shows as "1"

 

I want o/p must be

 

Calendar Year/Month   Count  Line

apr 2013                         2   Line 1

mar 2013                        5   Line 2

 

how it is possible to get the correct count.

E-fashion Universe Connection issue??

Hi All,

 

Successfully installed SAP BI 4.1 SP1 server on Linux machine and client on Windows machine.

 

Now e-fashion universe's connection is not working in client (windows) machine.

 

Getting error "DBD: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified"

 

Please suggest for this.

Token not being assigned to Open Document Link

After upgrading to BI 4.1 SP5 we have notice that a bttoken is no longer being assigned to our OpenDocument link.  This is causing our users to be presented with a user id/password log in screen instead of the detail level report.

 

Prior to clicking on the OpenDocument link are users are logging into a .net application which then uses the Restful service to create a log in token.  We have confirmed the log in token is being generated as expect and our users are able to access the summary reports that the token is being assigned to.  Within the summary report is where we provide an additional OpenDocument link, which will take you to a detail level report. This is where we are no longer able to access the token. 

 

We have notice that this issue is temporary fixed after performing a restart of Tomcat, however after reaching either the token time out setting or by killing the first login session the links are no longer working.  Prior to upgrading "BI4.1 SP2" we were running into similar issues until we implemented the below lines into a custom OpenDocument.properties file.  This fixed our issues at the time, but now is no longer working in the new SP5 version.

 

logon.allowInsecureEmbedding=true

sso.types.and.order=sapLogonToken

 

We are currently working with SAP regarding this issue, but any additional assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All,

 

 

I have created a Chart (Combind Colum Line Chart with 2 Y Axes). I have attached snapshot aswell.

 

here i stuck : @ snap 2 when i click on line bar i am getting store code short name and growth %. but as per requirement, we need to show only growth %.

Hi

 

  My requirement is, i need to filter two different values and that should be displayed as like below but i am getting one empty row for each filetr.

 

How to avoid that?

In the above result, i filtered subejct 1, code 1 & marks 1 by 'MATHS' and subject 2, code 2 & marks 2 by 'GRAPHICS'.

Inserting blank space in table column

Hi,

 

I'm trying to create some webi reports for the ipads and since they get automatically formatted, some of the things are not looking quite right.

Two scorecards or essentially tables don't have their columns aligned due to the length of text in each column. Please see the screenshot below.Since

the maximum length of the text in the the AREA column of the first table is 8 letters and the same for SBU column in the second table is 6, die to which the tables are appearing misaligned.

 

As a work around to this problem, I was hoping I could add blank spaces to the "SBU" heading so that the column width changes. Unfortunately, when I do so by adding blank spaces in character values or by simply by typing out spaces, I see "&nbsp" values instead of the blank spaces I expected.

 

Is there any way I can insert blank spaces in webi reports for ipads ?

 

Any suggestions will be much appreciated!

Web Intelligence Applet cannot be loaded, please make sure you have installed a Java virtual machine.

I cannot run WEBI from Launchpad. It gives me JVM error even though Java 1.7 is installed.  I tried lot of things but none of them worked. Somehow it is not able to recognize JAVA.  


I tried on IE 10 and Firefox.


I have SAP BO 4.1 Support Pack 2 Patch 1

Java 1.7 45   and

IE 10



Any help would be appreciated.
