PDF Mode in Multi-tab Report in Web Intelligence

Environment - BO 4.1

 

We have converted DESKI to WEBI reports when we upgrade from 3.1 to 4.1. Users have the PDF as the default mode to view the reports. For those reports that has multiple tabs, DESKI also shows multi-tab format in PDF mode but WEBI does not. However in WEBI, the tabs can be navigated on the PDF panel on the left hand side. We are wondering is there any way to get the multiple tab enabled for WEBI report in PDF mode (as seen in HTML mode) on the bottom. Has anyone had a similar situation?

Hello,

When I try to modify a WEBI, I have the following message : "Your session is timed out. Close the Java interface and log on again".

I use BO 4.1 SP3 Patch 5 and Java 8 Update 51   

Do you know how to solve the problem ?

Problem with selecting a name of a inspecteur

Hello,

 

We use Business Intelligens.

 

I have a problem with the selection of the name from a inspecteur.

We use 1e Inspecteur and a 2e Inspecteur (and more objects).

Now I want make a function so that I can select a inspecteur name no matter if he/see was 1e or 2e.

Can someone help me with dis problem.

Hi All,

 

 

I had Created a webi report on Top of the universe

I had Selected Block of table and Created Bi Web Service

when there is new value in the Data base it is reflecting in Webi Report But in Reflecting in Bi Web service

How to Resolve this situation

I had Created Dash Board with the QAAS Link

there is No data changes takes place in Bi Web Service Link When I saw the Test Data .

 

 

Please Advise How to get real time data In Bi web Service

Chart and Table auto drill downs to lowest level when filtered

Hi Experts,

 

I have a report which contains a table and some charts which are based on 3 different BEx queries. These queries have a common structure which was merged, now we are trying to apply a report filter from the filter bar on a hierarchical object which is also common across all 3 BEx queries and merged, We also have a restriction on the hierarchical object to display onle some particular values in the Report (clicked on the down arrow and limited the values that this hierarchical object should show). Now we have added a filter on this hierarchical object form the filter bar in the report. when i try to filter the report based on this hierarchical object, all the chart along with the table are automatically drilling down to the lowest level.

 

Ex: If my charts show 3 members in the top most level and 4 and 5 members in the next 2 levels, upon filtering from the filter bar the charts shows values for all the 12 members.

 

I am unable to figure out what might be the reason for this.

Could anyone please help me on this?

Dyanamic Bursting of Webi Report

I would like to burst a Webi sales report.  The report is set up so that if you were to run the it manually via Launch Pad, you would see a row for each sales rep in the report.  I would like to burst the report such that it is emailed to each sales rep as a file attachment.  However, when the sales rep opens the attached file, they should only see the data that applies to them (i.e., sales rep A is emailed the report and only see data for sales rep A). 

 

I'm not sure if this is helpful, but I do know the sales rep's name and email address for each record in the report.  I mention this because I thought that may be helpful is dynamically filtering data as the report is bursted.

 

I assume I would use some combination of Profiles and Publications to do this.  I cannot seem to figure it out though.  Any help the group could provide would be greatly appreciated!

how to apply grouping in aggregate functions

hi, how to apply the grouping in aggregate functions in Webi ?

 

Eg - Count(Employee_ID) in various designations like manager , supervisor , architect  etc..

 

as per in Crystal reports, we have count function for this -

Count(Employee_ID , @Designation)..

 

Please tell how to implement this type of formula in webi ?

Full outer join in Measure's , IDT re Universe

Experts,

 

I'm trying to duplicate one measure in an universe but when I try to create report based on these measure's, it gives two query results.

Can anyone assist, why its creating two queries ( full outer join in query wizards in Information Design Tool and Union in Web Intelligence ).

 

For example,

 

measure 1:

 

CustomerCount :  Sum(fact_customer.CustomerCount)

 

 

Measure 2:

 

CustomerCount_by_city :  Sum(fact_customer.CustomerCount) where CustomerCity = 'Boston'

 

 

when I pull these two measures along with Customer name , it creates two queries and makes it join by using Union operator.

 

However If I drop the where condition from 'measure 2' it doesn't create two queries.

 

Thoughts ?

BO Reporting Scheduling Failure

Hi All

 

We are on BO 4.1 SP4.

 

A Web Intelligence report is designed & saved in Public Folders & running fine post scheduling.

When the same report is moved to my Favorites by using Save as option/ Copy paste option & scheduling,this is moving to Failure mode

 

can you suggest your experiences

Webi Schedule error:Object failed to run due to an error while processing on the Job Server.

Dear,

 

     I have faced a problem when I wanted to schedule the Webi by E-MAIL,I have already tested the  telenet the mail server and port  from BO server, it

works fine.

 

      The schedule running error information is :Object failed to run due to an error while processing on the Job Server.

 

     I haved checked the logging file in the BO server file, there is a file <jobserver_BODEV.AdaptiveJobServer_WebIJavaSchedulingService_CHILD0_ncs> and there is error information shown as belown:

Converting Deski report to Webi report

Hi All

 

Which will be the better option to use, With report convertion.

 

Converting deski report to webi report in 3.1 using report convertion tool. and then moving the reports to SAP BI 4.1 version.

or

First moving all deski reports to SAP BI 4.1 using UMT and then  Converting deski report to webi  in 4.1 report convertion tool.

Reset Drill to Top Level

Hi there,

 

I am using webi 4.1 and have a hierarchy:

 

Country->City->Street

 

When I drill down on Country it takes me to City, however when I remove the City from the filter bar or change it to all values my table still displays the drilled state of City.

 

Is there any way that when I remove the country filter from the filter bar that I can set my table back to the top level of Country.

2. How would I know if BO Server configuration is right to handle three WEBI reports of 6000 pages each with regard to  refresh\run\publish\burst\download?

Sum all Dimension Values only where it exists in last two months

Hello,

 

Here is my scenario:

 

In a crosstab with two dimensions, Date and Product

 

             Product

Dates:     A       B       C ...

7/2015    12      0        0

6/2015    10      11      0

5/2015    13       0        10

4/2015    14       0        20

....

 

What I want webbi to do is filter the crosstab such that I am only seeing products where in the last two months there was a measure for that product.

So the above example would become:

 

           Product

Dates:     A       B    ....   

7/2015    12      0      

6/2015    10      11        

5/2015    13       0        

4/2015    14       0     

....

 

Product C got filtered out because three months ago was the last time it had a measure value. I only want to see products where they had a value in the last two months, BUT I also need the previous months data to be there as well for the other products. (A and B)

 

I can't seem to figure out how to do this. I'd imagine it's something simple. I'm a bit of a webbi newbie.

Sorting in Hierarchy Using Bex as the Source (BICS Connection) BO 4.1

Hello Guys,

 

I have an issue.  Am trying to change a hierarchy structure to certain sort order according to requirement but am finding it difficult because hierarchies behaves differently when it comes to sorting when using BICS connection (Bex).  It uses ascending and descending orders.  I have BO 4.1 SP5.  My report has already been set as a Section.  I have tried to replicate the two SAP Note 1892608 by re-arranging the query panel by putting the hierarchy structure first but did not work.  The SAP Note 1407617 cannot be applied to my situation because of the way the report is built because there is nowhere the Row Index can be dropped in the report and the report has already been sectioned.  Any other idea please?

Cascading List of Values Error

Wondering if anyone has come across this one before. I've created to cascading LOVs using hierachies and have both in the same query in a WebI report. I can select the parameters ok, but when I try to run the report I get the following error:

 

Database error: [Data Federator Driver][Server] Temporary View definition found several times (IES 10901) (WIS 10901)

 

I tried adding indexing to the objects but still got the error and googling has not yielded anything helpful.

Hi Experts,

 

Am developing webi report with 6 queries.

 

Having global filter Customer Name.

 

In all querys i taken Customer Name object into report.

 

And i merged 3 queries and 3 queries unmerged.

 

I given reportfilter(userresponse("Customer Name"), it shows blank .

 

Customer name is a technical name.

 

Please help when user enters Customer Name in Prompt that could be reflected in Blankcell in report.

Like in the title:

 

Web Intelligence Processing Servers after a cycle of recycling remain in the status starts and initialization. That makes them unavailable for reports and generates an error: Could not find servers in CMS wprtp05:6400, the cluster @WPRBI, type webiserver, null service. All such servers may have been disabled by an administrator. (FWM 01014)

How can we fix this error? What can be the cause of that situation?

How can we prevent the occurrence of this error in the future?
