Merged Dimension Data Issue
Hello All,
I am facing issue in Webi. We are using BO 4.0 sp5 and Teradata as backend. Its a conversion project from Deski to WebI.
We cant do any changes in the database.
Last column "Ship Error Code" in the WebI screen shot is a merged dimension object where i cant use any concatanate function. How to correct the values ?
Please find the sample output screen shot.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Formula Question
In Business Objects, I have a date value, for example, 1/1/2016, in one column. I have a 2nd column with an amortization term, for example, 24 months. I am trying to set up a formula in a third column to return last payment date, which in this example would be 12/1/2017.
This appears to be straightforward, however, I was only partially successful in my efforts.
Any help would be appreciated.

Formatting Phone Number using BO functions/Formula.
Hi All,
I'm trying to format one of the columns in my report, the data as of now looks like 0,000,000 coming from the database/Universe. However, it has to be presented in phone number format separated by "-" like so : 000-0000. There is a separate column for area code, so after I'm able to get the phone number in order, I'll concatenate it with the area code to appear as a single unit on one column.
Any inputs on this will be helpful, I'll really appreciate your thoughts on this.

csv data source reports doesn't show path
Hello,
We are facing a strange problem in BI4.1 SP6 with some of the migrated WebI reports from our old XIR3.1 env. I have logged into BI Launch Pad and changed my Web Intelligence preferences to Applet for viewing and modifying. Under these settings an .xls data source allows me to view the query but a .csv data source displays the following message:
When I use Rich Client I can see the query but when I try to switch data provider using the button highlighted below:
I get the following dialogue box which does not allow me to access the BI server:
It also does not allow me to see any other files that are not text files ie., the drop down at the bottom of the above screenshot does not list any other options.This is different from the dialogue box when I try to change the data source of an .xls data source:
I have received no error messages apart from when I have tried to manually type the file path of an .xlsx data source into the File Name box.
I am using Excel 2007 but these reports are quite old so were probably built using Excel 2003. We also have Excel 2010 available within the force.I cannot even see the location of the BI server to switch the data provider. I have also tried to switch the reports from an unmanaged .csv data source to an unmanaged .xlsx data source to see if I could do this as an interim step before switching to a managed .xlsx data source but this won't work either.
Can any one please help.

I have below dataset,
I want to get like below
The logic for Q1 and Q2 is,
Week 1 has 2 count (A01 & A02) so Q1 start with 2 from week 1. Then A01 QI changed to Q2 in week 8 and also for A02. so from week 8 onwards 2 count for Q2.
Then Week 14 A01 changed to Q1 again and A02 remain Q2
So Q1 is i from Week 14 to until next change and Q2 is also 1 (A02) until next change.
How to achieve this?

Query panel window size in webi
Version: BO 4.1 sp5
Query panel window size in webi is not fixed.
Wondering if there's a way to fix this as everytime I open a new report, I have to readjust the query panel window to the maximum to be able to see most of the objects and long list of filters.

i have a universe I created and I would like to rename it. I would then like point the webi reports that point to it to the new one. Whats the easiest way to go about this.

Hierarchy calculation of average of average of...
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out a way how to solve the following requirement in WebI.
I have two figures out of which I get a ratio (= average). If seen across a hierarchy, the average can be calculated for every node on every level. However, what I need is a calculation of averages of averages, meaning: For a node, I take the averages of the direct children and average them. For a bottom node, this is easy to implement (such as when using "Descendants"). For the parents, it becomes tricky, though, because the result depends on the result of the previous calculation.
Hierarchy:
A
--B
----C
-------D
-------E
----F
-------G
By normal standards, Average of B would be Average of D, E and G (the leafs). What I want, though, is that Average of B is Average of C and F, with C being average of D and E.
Any ideas how to solve this?

Distinct Sum
Hello,
I am facing a problem regarding column calculation in WEBI 4.
Below is an example :
These 2 lines obviously aren't duplicates because of the date difference, but based solely on the "case id", they are referencing the same operation from my work point of view.
Is there a way to make a total sum for each unique "case id" ? In this case i'll end up with 250000 instead of 500000.

Someone has checked SP6 Patch 5?
Hi guys,
After having installed recently SP6 we have been forced to install latest patch available (patch 5) to install some of the issues we found (E.g: KBA 2171190). But on the test env we have noticed that this patch seems to reproduce the error described below
2131899 - Web Intelligence query is asking for contexts when same path is defined for these contexts
This error was supposed to be fixed some time ago but it is appearing again after installing SP6 Patch 5 (the same or a variant of it). All our queries are now asking for contexts despite that the path is the same for all them.
Someone has suffered same issue using patch 4?

Some clients are using several products but I need to create a filter to see, client that are using only this product "Audio"
Some clients have all services but they are using only "Audio", I need to identify these clients.

is @prompt in derived table on top of teradata will work?
Hi Experts,
We have done creating of universe and report on top of oracle.Its working fine.
Now back end upgraded from oracle to teradata.
So we need to point the universe and report to Teradata and we did it.
In report we have two data providers.One data provider is running with derived table and one more data provider is running as usual (how we drag the objects into result panel).
Now the issue is getting error with the one data provider which is running with derived table objects.
I have checked the query of derived table line by line and I found the error is the date filter with @prompt.
same date filter we are using in another data provider and which is running fine.
(how I come to know the error is -If I do custom sql the query without date filter is running fine ,Once I add the date filter its not running)
EX:
If I select start date Dec 1st 2015,the webi passing the the date in teradata in the format of{d '2015-12-01'}.This date format is not working in the data provider which is running on derived table but working in another data provider.
and the error what i am getting is
"'{' ('7B'X) is not a valid sql token. for more....."
If I edit the sql the date '2015-12-01' instead of{d '2015-12-01'}, its working fine.
So the date filter with @prompt is running in one data provider and not running in another data provider which is running on derived table(In derived table query we used same date filter)
I know this could be very confused please let me know do you have any concerns.
My question is :
In derived tables If I want to use @prompt is teradata will support or not? else any cause you feel ......
I am trying for this from last 4 days but no clues....
Any help will be appreciated....Please suggest me guys...

Link already Existing (Error: INF)
Hi,
I have added a few new queries to my already existing report.
Now I want to merge the dimensions in the new query together, I don't need to merge them with the old merged dimensions.
But when I try a merge(by selecting and right clicking them) I get an error "Link already Existing (Error: INF)".
Say 3 old queries for dimension A and they are merged.
Now I have 3 new queries with dimension A too, I want to merge it to A(new).
I have googled the error but there seems to be no reference to this error.
Has someone encountered it? Please help.

Sum of values between two dates
Hi,
I've created a WEBI document which displays revenue value per month but I want to insert another column which displays the total value between 2 predetermined dates. I have attempted to modify the formula of the sum option but I'm hitting a dead end. Any ideas?

Dynamic Filter in webi on Date
We have a webi report which is scheduled on the date filter which is set on sysdate - 1 at the universe level. but some times we have to execute the report on the different filter value like sysdate - 2 or sysdate - 3 etc. currently we are changing the webi query manually from sysdate-1 to sysdate-2 etc... how could we define dynamic filter in webi or in universe.
Universe filter Definition :
"FRTU_FPI"."DATUM" = (select to_char(sysdate-1,'yyyymmdd') from dual)
we don't have any sysdate at universe level.
want to this changes dynamic rather changes the webi SQL.
