#Multivalue error in Webi 4.1 for some records

Hi Experts,

 

I am getting #Multivalue error for some records in Webi reports.

 

I have tried multiple ways but not able to resolve this error.

 

Measure object type in IDT is Numeric and Aggregation type is None, If I give aggregation type as Sum in IDT, getting measure values multiplied by 4 times.

 

In report level I have created a variable like Sum(Measure) getting correct data but it shows some records as #Multivalue error.

 

Can anyone suggest me how to resolve this error.

Opening SP07 report in SP05

Can this be done?

 

Can I execute, open or edit a SAP BO 4.1 SP07 webi report in SP05 webi?

 

Also does HANA SP10 support SAP BO 4.1 SP05?

 

Apparently my DEV is in SP07 and PROD is in SP05.

Webi input control not working on ipad (bobj 4.1)

Hello expert,

 

I have the requirement to show webi report and design studio on ipad/mobile. Once i deployed those reports to ipad, there are certain features not working as expected. I have searched many threads related to it but not able to get a solution.

 

1. Input control: I have set input control for whole webi document and also enabled the report to mobile category folder. Input control is working fine with desktop browser but not displaying on ipad and i found no such options on the screen.

2. Freeze pane: Freeze on rows not working on ipad but freeze on column is working fine (both row and column freeze is working fine with desktop browser)

3. Passing parameter from Design studio: I have designed a dashboard (design studio) where i'm passing certain parameters to webi report. i.e. If i pass region value from design studio, webi report should get filtered for that region without displaying prompt screen. It is working fine with desktop browser but when we pass values by using ipad, webi report displaying prompt screen with passed value(prompt screen should not be displayed)

Hi everyone,

 

I have used the Previous (Self) command to roll dimension values together into the one cell.

 

In some cases I have a large result output,  so I want to cut this down further to display just a couple of these dimension values. ie.

 

Tom, Dick, Harry, Billy, Sean, Matt, David - would become - Tom, Dick, Harry + 3 Others

Mary, Ann, Kate - would become - Mary, Ann, Kate

John - would become - John

Mary, David, Olwyn, Sean, Catherine, Billy, Kate, Deirdre - would become - Mary, David, Olywn + 5 others

 

 

I've tried Ranking but this doesn't work and I know I can't sort when I use the Previous function.

 

We are using: BI 4.1 SP6.

 

Suggestions would be welcome.

Second input control resets the first input control

We are migrated to BO3.1 SP7 FP2.

 

 

I have a WEBI report with 8 input controls. When I make a selection for the first input control, the selection works fine on the grid. But when I make a selection for the second input control, it resets the first input control and I only see the selection of the second input control on the grid (and not the First input control selection).

 

When I'm working in the EDIT modus it all works fine.

 

How I can solve this issue?

 

Before we were working with BO3.1 SP5 and here it was working fine.

 

Further details:

Version: BOXI3.1 SP7 FP2

Server: Windows 2008

Web-server: Tomcat

Viewing xcelsius dashboard (Live Office) via Portal

Hi,

 

 

I have developed an xcelsius dashboard using live office connection and exported using html.

Dashboard is running fine for internal users (Intranet network).

For external users (Out of the network) users, I followed the below steps:

 

  1. Exported dashboard to business objects platform
  2. Created open document link
  3. Portal team embedded the link to an image on Portal
    website. So that when user clicks on the image, it goes to BO and looks for the
    document id and run the dashboard.

     

My Portal team has created a proxy server for displaying dashboard on Portal website.

 

We have deployed crossdomain.xml file on our BO tomcat server.

 

 

But my issue is when the user clicks on the link, we need to enter BO login and after entering the authentication, it returns the #2170 error.

 

#2170 error:

Cannot access external data:

 

To access external data, add a cross domain policy file to external data web server.

For more information, on the Adobe website, see the article “cross domain policy file specification”.

 

If the problem persists, contact the file creator or your system administrator.

Error : Error #2170.

Connection type :
Live office connection

File URL:

Proxy server URL to business objects

External URL:

Business Objects Server URL

 

 

Our production dashboard needs to have users from the Internet as well as from our intranet.

 

Internet users must go through a reverse proxy (server Y), because the intranet BO server is not reachable from the Internet.  The
traffic flows from browser to server Y, and server Y makes its own connection to server X.

 

The dashboard Flash file downloads correctly over this connection.  But the refresh fails, because the app is trying to connect to server X (the BO server).  Server X’s name can’t be resolved because it’s not in the public-facing DNS, and even if it were, the host is unreachable due to firewalls and security policy.

 

 

This is happening because the dashboard is using a hard-coded URL for the BO server that was inserted by Xcelsius ((Application Option in LIVE OFFICE and in Data Manager Connection).

 

 

The dashboard needs to build the server URL at runtime instead of using the hard-coded BO server URL.

 

Is there a way to pass a parameter to the dashboard app, via the HTML file that references the Flash file or some other way?

 

Or is there any other way, I can resolve this issue?

WEBI report - CDMB structure

Team,

I'm supposed to deliver webi report which displays simple CMDB structure - something similar to the picture below.

All the CI's (services, products, applications, ...) are stored in cmdb_ci table and all the relations are in cmdb_rel table. In cmdb_rel table, there are two columns (parent, child) which represent parent and child CI's of the current relationship.

 

It means that the CI "Product 1" is a child in "Service 1 - Product 1" relationship and parent in "Product 1 - Application 1" relationship.

 

So far I'm able to display each level separately, but I have no idea how to put the whole structure in one table as requested.

 

Could you please give me some hints?

Expand-Collapse view in Columns in webi

Dear All,

 

I have a requirement to display the hierarchy in columns rather than on rows. We are on BI 4.1 SP6 using BICS connection on Bex queries.

 

 

First level of display:

By default the report should show the detailed level of information as like "First level of display", and when user click on the values it should drill up to "Second level of display" and then to "Third level of display".

 

Kindly advise if this is possible in webi on Bex query? I have seen on other threads that drill up/down is not possible on BEX queries using BICS connection as scope of analysis is greyed out.

 

If drill down is not possible, can Expand/Collapse work on columns as we generally use it for rows only?

Can we create a link between multiple tabs ( reports ) within a single webi document ?

 

I have two tabs in a single webi document , one at level of market segment ( block 1 , tab1 ) and another at level of cost center ( block 2 , tab 2) and I want to drill down from Market segment to cost center within same webi document .

WEBI 4.1 SP3 disable No Data To Retrieve message from coding

When we were in BO 3.1 we were able to disable 'No Data to retrieve in + query' message by commenting out a line in viewer.js file from

directory: AnalyticalReporting.ear\AnalyticalReporting.war\viewers\cdz_adv\language\en\scripts

function displayNoDataToFetch(s,cb)

{

//showAlertDialog("No data to retrieve in "+s,"Retrieving Data",0,cb);

}


How can this can be achieved in WEBI 4.1 ?

HI

 

I have tried to find a solution where I can display date and time in the correct time zone in a webi report.

The Data is always stored in GMT but I would like to display the Data in the correct Time Zone e.g. CET.

 

Raw Data in DB (GMT): 26-01-2016 15:21:11          ->          Displayed as(CET) 26-01-2016 16:21:11

 

Does anyone have a good idea how to do it in WEBI or to do it in IDT.

Can I pass Parameters from a Web Page into a WEBI report?

Hello

 

Users have asked me to embed a WEBI Report in a Web Page - this part is fairly simple.

But what they've also asked me is if the report can be run based on one of the values in the Web-Page.

 

The Web Page and the report Universe use the same database, so all the data fields are the same.

 

What they would like is: 

 

If the user is on the page and looking at a particular Course Code  (123456) , then can the embedded WEBI report take this as one of the parameters(prompts) .

 

The Course Code is part of the report and is already one of the Prompts,but currently the only way I can see to run it is the users click on the report and enter the Prompts in the usual way.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Removing data from a report

Sorry for the vague title and for my lack of experience with business objects/web intelligence.

 

I'm part of a pathology lab that deals with thousands of samples every day and this data is stored in a data warehouse that we use BO to retrieve. We are especially interested in the turnaround times for samples and run queries to extract this data. We have managed to pull data but no matter how hard we try we are unable to remove addons and they are affecting the quality of our reports.

 

Clinicians often phone up hours or even days later to request addon tests. However when we retrieve the data from the warehouse it calculates the time taken from the time the specimen was booked in to the time the addon was completed. If this is days later it makes it look like it took much longer to complete than it did.

 

We use the test code 'ADD' when we modify the orders and so all samples with the test code ADD should be removed from the report.

 

The current report looks like the following

 

Test Code | Specimen Number | Receive Date | Receive Time | Date Current Status Achieved | Time Current Status Achieved | Test Turnaround Time (Decimal)

 

We calculate the test turnaround time with a simple calculation of current status achieved (aka results done) minus Receive date/time and report it in decimal hours.

 

The Report might look like the following

 

K | 000001 | 01/01/16 | 09:00:00 | 01/01/16 | 12:00:00 | 3

 

If a Test was added on to this sample we might have two lines

 

ADD | 000001 | 01/01/16 | 09:00:00 | 01/02/16 | 12:00:00 | 27

B | 000001 | 01/01/16 | 09:00:00 | 01/02/16 | 12:30:00 | 27.5

 

It now looks like test B took 27.5 hours to complete when it really only took 0.5.

 

We have tried doing a combined query to minus all the ADD test from the full report but as you can see that would only remove the ADD tests not the actual test added on.

 

Is there a way to basically do the following?

 

If [Test] = ADD then delete all [Test] that match [Specimen Number]?

A Horizontal table contain list of user response from prompt as below:

On the 'Option' above, I use formula as below:

 

=Replace(UserResponse("Select Option:");";";Char(13))

 

All goes well until I export to Excel it become as below:

Option

 

 

A; B; C; D;

 

I have no idea what next, any workaround?

I am trying to add leading zeros to a string.

 

example the fixed width length is 28

 

if the length of the string is 14 I should add 14 leading zeros

if the length is 13 then 15 leading zeros.any idea?

scheduling the Web Intelligence report to Server Location

Hi All.

 

I would like to know if BO Webi report can be created with the following criteria:
- the report output is going to be a CSV file
- the report has to run monthly so automated scheduling is a must
- The CSV File should get place in the sql server file extraction location automatically..
 
Back end is BI , Business Object is the front-end.


Appreciate if you share document which gives the step by step procedure to schedule the BO Report(Output as CSV Format) to specified SQL Server File Extract Location.
