User input control for more than one tab in webI

Hi experts,

 

is it possible to use a user input control for more then one tab in a webI.

What I want to do is to create a webI with two tabs. When I create a user input control, then the filter only takes effect on one tab. for the second tab, I have to create  another user input control.

Is there any solution for my problem?

I want to dispaly reports like below

 

Paramer/ Input Control:

 

Top 5 / All

 

If User Select Top5 : The piechart should siplay only Top 5 Segments Based on Revenue

 

 

If User Select All : The piechart should siplay All Segments Based on Revenue( Need to Ignore Top 5 Filter)

Hi ,

 

After upgrade BO 3.1 web intelligence report to 4.1 Environment , The Charts scale(y axis values) values are not matching .

Could you please suggest me.

Webi report with Data prompt

When I run a WEBI docment in Webi tool it prompts to enter date. But when I in infoview when I select View its not asking and  its processing for very long time, may be executing query from Universe.

How to make it display prompt in infoview

Sorting two reports below each other possible !!!

Hie Guys,

 

I have inserted 2 reports from 2 different Universes below each other to create a combined report. Both of them have the same column names which is why I combined them like this. Now, the first column in both reports is "Department Name". I want to sort the whole report by Department Name i.e. Dept A, Dept B, Dept C, and so on...... I have already merged the "Department Name" from both Universe. However, I am only able to sort the combined report in this format -> Report 1  - Dept A, Dept B, Dept C,.... displays first and then Report 2 - Dept A, Dept B, Dept C,...... . Is there any way I can sort both reports combined in the order - Dept A, Dept B, Dept C,...... using this approach? If not, can I sort it once I export the report to Excel?  If so, how ? Thanks.

I have a requirement which I am trying to explain you with very simple example

 

Eg: Raw Data

There are multiple date fields like order date , posting date , delivery date, create date...

 

Users want a common filter on "Year" and "Month" which must be applicable to all date fields and give result accordingly.

 

I can surely create multiple filetrs\Input control for every date filed but user does't want to select mutiple time. There requierment is to get data filter by year \month value applicable for all date fields.

 

Any work around ?

All cell contents not displayed when Exporting to Excel

Hie Guys,

 

I am having trouble displaying all the contents of a column when Exporting to Excel. Basically, the column is a long text that explains the status of a project. Name of the column - "Status Description". Now, I have already formatted the column to "Auto- fit Height" & "Wrap Text". All the contents of the cells are displayed when viewed in "HTML" & "PDF". However, when I export it to Excel, some column cells have not been accounted for "Auto-Fit Height". I've given the example below. Thanks.

 

In HTML & PDF:

 

Project ID                    Status Description

 

100                         This project explains the status of

                                the project 100. The expected benefit

                                from the project is supposed to be

                                $1.2 M.

 

 

In Excel:


Project ID                    Status Description

Web Intelligence 4.0 - Edit Merged Dimensions wihtout using Unmerge

I am buiding a whole reporting package in WEBI 4.0 and I've run into an issue.  I have several existing merged dimensions in the report (e.g. Month, Year, etc)  I just recently added several new queries (from different universes) and would like to add the dimensions that came over to the existing merged dimensions.  However, I am unable to do this unless I unmerge the existing merged dimension and then re-merge all the dimension members again.  As soon as I unmerge though, many of my reports are completely messed up and would have to be rebuilt.

 

Is there a way to add new dimensions members to an existing merged dimension without having to unmerge first?

Can't able to see cube under BIA list in BO 3.1 version in explorer app

Hello Team,

 

i added one cube to rsddv and activated it showing status
green next to it and BIA accelerator roll up also done... But to create
information space on that cube.

at manage space in Exploreer app i can't able to see that particular newly created
cube..

 

 

Can you guide me how can i see that cube to create manage space....

 

 

Note:-
I didn't re-start any of server after explorer activation on cube... Is it
necessary ?

Getting error while creating and refreshing report using Universe in Webi 4.0

Hello,

 

I am getting the below error when I try to build and refresh report using Universe.

 

"Database error:(CS) "DBDriver failed to load: D:\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI4.0

\dataAccess\connectionServer\drivers\lib64\dbd_oci.dll (The specified module could not be found.)*.

(IES 10901)"

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Division by zero was attempted in webi report BO 3.0

Hi,

 

I created a object in universe level to calculate % of Cancel and % of Validation, These two objects are stored in one Class and i dont have any issues while generate the reports.. But, I want to add Product Name in the same report which the object is taken from another Class and while generate the report i am getting the errro divide by zero was attempted. i dont get any error when i validate the below code.

 

Can anyone let me know what causes the error when adding the Product Name?

Report mapping document responsibility

HIe Guys,

 

just had a basic question about report mapping document - one that lists all the reports in a project and maps the report elements with universe object. Is it the responsibility of the developer to create such a document when he leaves a project  or when he starts a project ? Whose responsibility is it ?How does it work ? Thanks.

Hi All,

 

I have a requirement in which I have one input text which is converted to hyperlink text. On clicking on this link I have to open a new report. However i need to pass parameter with multiple values to the child report. I'm using an object which has multiple values in the open document syntax. But its giving me an #multi value error.

How to visualize if a value is greater or smaller than another?

Hi Community,

I'm totally new to WEBI so bare with me please .... this questions might be very easy to solve.

 

I try to create a WEBI report which is based on a data-source which comes from another vendor.

The report includes three variables:

  1. Device-Name (Type: String, Qualification: Dimension), Example "Router1"
  2. *Device-Availability% (Type: Number, Aggregation: Sum, Qualification: Measure), Example "99,52 %"
  3. Device-Availability-Target-String (Type: String, Qualification: Dimension), Example "97,50"

 

I want to setup a new column which will be filled with a green background color, if the *Device-Availability% >= Device-Availability-Target-String

and else with a red color.

 

First thought was to simply use an Alerter combining both variables but that doesn't work. So next thought... okay comparing a String with a Number

will not work. So I created a new variable (Measure) Device-Availability-Target-Number (=ToNumber([Device-Availability-Target-String]) and

tried those two variables in an Alerter. But again, no success.

 

Also tried using an If-Function but same result. It looks like WEBI compares the two variables in a way that I don't get.

 

Any ideas, any hints will be appreciated... I'm desperate

issue is like this as per requirement format should match with excel but it is not matching so there is any solution for this when we go saving in excel format "Male Data" and "Female Data" should be in Center
