WEBI 4.1 - BICS - Access type for Result Values
Hi Expert,
I'm going to create new webi reporti in BO 4.1 using BICS connection.
I'd like to use in Bex query the property "Master Data" in "Access type for Result Values" but doesn't work.
I've done that:
step 1
1. set property Master Data in Access type for Result Values for infoobjects 0COSTCENTER in bex query
2. Insert infoobjects 0COSTCENTER in my WEBI report and it DOESN'T works! I'm showing only posted values.....
step 2
1. set property "Retrieve empty rows" in webi report query panel
2. refresh report, and now it WORKS fine!!!!
step 3.
1. add 0CURRENCY in bex query
2. set property Posted values in Access type for Result Values for infoobjects 0CURRENCY in bex query
3. add 0CURRENCY in webi query panel
3. add 0CURRENCY IN webi report and now I'm showing ALL currency though without value.
At this point I'm thinking that property "Access type for Result Values" in BEX query for BICS connection DOESN'T WORK!!
Could someone confirm that?
Webi report prompt selection
Hello All,
I have a requirement in a webi report where I have Manager ID in the prompt of the query. This is a single selection and is a optional prompt. So when the user runs the report and selects a Manager ID in the report it is displayed at the top where I have used a Reportfilter function.
Now for example there are 500 Manager ID's and when the user doesnt select any ID and runs the report the reportfilter shows all the Manager IDs.Is there a way that instead of showing all 500 IDs, it displays ALL when user doesnt select any Manager ID?

Hi, i have the above output in my webi report and i'm trying to create variables that count column [F] where the value is the same.
So the above table should produce the desired results.
LETTER - 3
E-MAIL - 2
PHONE CALL - 2
FAX - 2
I have a variable each for letter, email fax and phone call and i've tried the following formulas for each but non produces the correct count
=Sum(If Left([F];6) = "LETTER" Then 1 Else 0)
=Count([F]) Where ([F] = "LETTER")
=Count(If([F] InList("LETTER"); [F];0))
=Count([F];All) Where ([F] = "LETTER")
Any advice will be greatly appreciated

#Multivalue error
Hi,
I have a dataset of customers (with unique customer numbers) that have sales in 2 years. 2012 & 2013. I have added a flag to each customer
to identify customers which are new business customers in 2013 (i.e. the customer didn't have sales in 2012) and existing business customers (i.e. had sales in 2012).
I have created a dimension to put the flag on each customer. The formula I'm using is as follows:
=If(IsNull([Sales Quantity Full Year] In ([Customer No]));0;1)
where,
Customer No is the unique customer number
Sales Quantity is total sales in the prior year
New business customers will have a flag of 0
Existing business customers will have a flag of 1
All this works fine, no issues so far.
Customer sales are broken out into different sales areas, North, South, East & West.
What I want to be able to show is a vertical table with the sales areas in a vertial column on the left, then beside that the total for new business sales in the period (2013) and then another column for exisitng business sales in the period. I don't want to show customer numbers as its too much detail.
New Business Existing Business
North 1,000 12,000
South 2,000 11,000
East 500 8,000
West 5,000 15,000
But when the try to show the table like this I get #Multivalues where the values should be.
If I only include North and also include the customer numbers the values are shown, when I remove the customer number and so at an regional level, I get #Multivalues again.
I have created a measure for New Business, the formula reads as follows:
=Sum([Sales Quantity 2013]) Where ([New Customer]=0)
The formula for Exisiting business is the sames only 0/zero is replaced with 1.

SAP Business Object Webi Issue
Hi,
I want to show last 13 weeks data in the report with measure. However i need to show Previous week measure for each week. Hence i am taking 14 weeks in the query filter to get Previous measure for each week. I ahev created the formula to show the minimum and maximum week and i am using this formula in crosstab report to show 13 weeks data however previous function wors for all weeks except the minimum week.
If i use direct 14 weeks then it wors fine however when i use formula for week to show prvious week measure it is not working.
Any suggestion.

Merge two rows in one row with extra column
Hello,
We are on BI 4.1 on Windows. I am an administrator and want to write a basic WebI report. How can I merge the master and details rows into one row. The customer no, Name, item comes from TAB1 and code and value comes from TAB2.
Customer no Name Item code value
12345 Name1 IT1 17 23.00
12345 Name1 IT1 63 45.00
Teh TAB2 will always have multiple rows for one item based on the code field. I am only interested in two always. The code 17 means price and 63 means maintanance cost for 5 years.
I want it to display in one rows like -
Customer no Name Item Price MaintCost
12345 Name1 IT1 23 45.00
The value of Price and MaintCost will defined based on the code field, which is in TAB2.
How it is possible in Web Intelligence 4.1? I am hoping it is something simple to model for a technical administrator.

Webi 3.1 sp6 data disappear (Cashing problem )

I have issue with my webi report some time my report data disapper from the report that happend three or 4 times in week, I do restart the my laptop and it work fine I use XP windows in my VM and windows 7 in my local machine , Please let me know if someone see this issue and how to resolove that , Also this happening more then two people they do not restart their machine everyday , Where to more focus at server side or its our java in local machine .Please let me know Thank You
Unable to create a WEBI report using JDBC connectivity
We are getting below error message while executing Webi report from BI Launchpad:
Database Error :IO Error:The Network Adapter could not establish the connection.(IES:10901)(Error:INF)
Version details:
BO4.1 SP2
Reporting Data Base:Oracle 11G
Connectivity:JDBC
We installed BO4.1 server on windows 2008,no client tools installed in this machine
Client tools installed on windows 7 in user machines.
Note:We have not installed any Oracle client software in user machines as well as in Server.
We followed below steps to setup the jdbc connectivity on server as well as client machine
Placed compatible OJDBC6.jar file in BO data access directory path and modified class path for jar in Oracle.sbo file and also modified environmental variables accordingly.
Restarted Server.
Observations:
Created new JDBC connection using oracle 11 Jdbc driver in Universe design tool,tested connection is working.
Exported universe to repository and then trying to create webi report from BI Launch pad.
Getting :
Database Error :IO Error:The Network Adapter could not establish the connection.(IES:10901)(Error:INF).
But its working in WEBI rich client,able to create a report.
Please let us if any one have some idea how to fix this issue.

User Authorization in CMC?
Hello Everyone,
There is point were i am not able to get the desired result for my user authorization, need your advise on it.
Here is the scenario i want for my users.
In launch pad i have a folder by name HR DASHBOARDS. I have a user let it be X, what i want is once this user logs into launch pad, it should see only HR DASHBOARDS folder there once he clicks on the folder tab.
The steps i've followed are
1) Log in to CMC using Enterprise Administrator.
2) go to Folders >> Click on the "All Folders" >> Click on Manage >> Top-Level Security >> All Folders.
3) add "BO Users" in the security list of "All Folders".Then grant right "View Objects" only to object and uncheck the box
subobject for this right.
4) Now come BO Reports folder >> Right Click on this folder >> Click on User Security >> Add BO User group to this folder's
security list.
5) Grant right "View Objects" to this group over the BO Reports folder for object and subobject. Keep the boxex for object,sub
object selected.
As i am applying the above steps ...the user X once logged into launch pad is able to see all the Public folders not only HR DASHBOARDS :/

All cell contents not displayed when Exporting to Excel

I am having trouble displaying all the contents of a column when Exporting to Excel. Basically, the column is a long text that explains the status of a project. Name of the column - "Status Description". Now, I have already formatted the column to "Auto- fit Height" & "Wrap Text". All the contents of the cells are displayed when viewed in "HTML" & "PDF". However, when I export it to Excel, some column cells have not been accounted for "Auto-Fit Height". I've given the example below. Thanks.

Web Intelligence Rich Client crashes for a specific report
Hi,
I am currently working on BI 4.0, SP5. When I am try to open a Web I report in the Rich Client, it stops working. I get a window with the message "SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise has stopped working". This happens for a particular report ONLY. For all other reports, the Rich Client works fine. Talking about that report, it opens perfectly fine in the Launch Pad, though it takes a lot of time. I have huge amount of development to be done in that report, due to which working in BI Launch Pad would be difficult.

I followed the tutorial and was successful in adding additional tabs to the report, but when I change the prompts for one report it is changing all reports.
I am wanting one report with multiple tabs at the bottom with different criteria/prompts selected for each report/tab.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
