HI I need to hide empty rows in a webi report.
The issue is i am using variables.

The MM, PP, VV are manually entered names & each row has different variables with a measures with different variables.
Table format --> hide dint work
Creating a show/hide variable dint work as i have different variable for each row (40 rows, 40 variables)

We are looking to create mobile links that will open WEBI reports. In the desktop version we have no issues passing parameters from SFDC to WEBI and opening a report. However, when using the same type of logic to open the report in the Business Insights APP, passing parameters doesn't seem to work.
my code looks like this.

I need to have waterfall chart for each month
Since waterfall chart is allowing 1 measure, I am not able to build it.
Please advise how to build the waterfall chart in webi

I have a calculation(little complex as it is using many other custom measures) called "inflation" it is being calculated on the basis of "from" and "to" months selected in selection criteria. If I have selected Jan to March then inflation will get calculated using data from Jan to Mar and will be displayed as below:
What I want is to show inflation value on Monthly YTD basis.
So in Jan value should be calculated in Jan to Jan basis in Feb it should show Jan to Feb in March inflation should get calculated in Jan to Mar basis.
Meaning when month is put in tabular format then YTD month wise calculation should work.
Please suggest if it can be done through any filter or any custom measure is to be created.

Hi,
I have a webi report built on Bex query. Bex query has some variable which is appearing as prompt in webi report.When a particular user runs its throwing error.Attached is the error screenshot.
The strange thing is that myself(administrator ) and some other users are not getting this error.
So is it something like related to user security/authorization issue with that user.
Security team has checked the users authorization and they say its fine. Any idea how to debug this issue.

To explain my issue I need to give some simplified background data. I'm using the following fields from a Universe table:
Year, Account#, AccountType, AmountPeriod1, AmountPeriod2, AmountPeriod3...AmountPeriod12, UserPromptCurrentPeriod
Using this source data I have created two queries in Web Intelligence. The only difference between them is one of the filters. qryActuals filters on AccountType=Actual and qryBudgets filters on AccountType=Budget.
To keep this short, I have the following two report columns:
Colum Actual = variableActual where variableActual = If([UserPromptCurrentPeriod]=1) Then [qryActuals].[AmountPeriod1] ElseIf([UserPromptCurrentPeriod]=2) Then [qryActuals].[AmountPeriod2]...ElseIf([UserPromptCurrentPeriod]=12 Then [qryActuals].[AmountPeriod12]
Colum Budget uses the same idea except the variable is called variableBudget and is defined as pulling the AmountPeriod value from the qryBudgets query.
The Actuals column works perfectly. Every account # has the correct amount based on the period selected by the user. However, the Budgets column shows the same value for each account, which is correct only for the first account. Why is one column working but not the other? Could it be because I'm pulling the Account # for the report from the qryActuals?

I have doubts about the servers of the BO, the WebIntelligenceProcessingServer. We had problems with this service and he stopped and did not start over. To solve, we cloned it in other 2 servers and disabled the original and BO returned to work normally.
My questions are:
- These two servers to be cloned are already considered in the Audit automatically? Is there a node between the
clones and the parent server ?
- Because the server has been disabled, the Audit shows a Warning message (warning auditing data may remain in server buffers). There is some problem delete this server? We do not intend to use it more

We are able to achieve this at row level.
Please suggestions how to implement it at summary level and drill down.

I have created a chart based on Last week end date and two measures "Open"(Count of Open) and "Close"(Count of close).
For some weeks I do not have values for "Open" and "Close" so Chart is not displaying that week but business is asking to display all weeks. How can I achieve this ?
see the below picture:
In the above example, I do not have "Open" and "Close" values for 31-Jan, 20-mar, 27-Mar, 3-Apr, 10-Apr, 17-Apr So these week end dates are not displaying in Chart but according to business I need to display these dates with "zero" values. How can I achieve this ?

If I run the variable like this
=Count([Country]) Where (City InList("New York";"London"))
The answer is 1, right?
It will be US 2, who has both of 2 items in the list.
Or it will be 3?
Because UK, US, US2 all have either one of the items in the list.
InList means..."either one of" the items in the list?
I would be extremely grateful if somebody could clarify on this point...
I am getting confused here...
When making a derived table in IDT, I’m not able to add a bit field. All other fields work just fine but bit(Boolean, yes/on true/false) fields do not work. Is there a reason why this is and is there a way to fix it? We are using BI 4.1-P1-S7. Thanks for your help.
I need to calculate some Year-To-Date values from individual period fields based on the period input by the user. For example, if the user inputs the period as 9 the YTD would be a calculation of 9 fields, Period 1 + Period 2, etc. all the way to Period 9. Please don't tell me that I have to do this as a huge If/ElseIf statement in which I have to write out 12 different equations depending on which period is supplied by the user.
First thanks in advance for those that take the time to respond. My work flow is to open a report in "Design" mode. Then Data Access/Edit. Once I go into edit mode I get a message that says "No business layer sent back from the server". Now I've read/been told a number of different things but all of them have been security related. The issue with that is you can't get to the name of the universe that the report is made of. Due to this, you can't get to the connection information either. So I can't check the security on the universe or the connection.
Has any one seen this error and resolved it?

I am using BI 4.1 Launchpad and trying to show dynamic hide/show of fields using drill down.
I have a report with:
Tab 1(summary): Section on Group# and Group Name.
Columns: 1. Benefit 2. Amount 3. Charge
Then totals of Amount and charge at the bottom.
Tab 2(Summary): Section on Group # and Group Name
Section on Account# and Account Name.
Columns: 1. benefit 2. Amount 3. Charge
Then totals of Amount and Charge at the bottom.
Tab 3(Detail): Section on Group # and Name
Section on Account # and Name.
Columns: 1. Member Name. 2. Date of Birth 3. Benefit 4. Amount 5. Date A 6. Date B. 7. Date c 8. Charge

I want to be able to show just 1 tab and drill down to the details. like if I have group #, I can drill down to account # but the group name doesn't change dynamically to account name. then I want to be able to show the details like member name, dob etc dynamically when I drill down to third level.
Please advice.

We are currently on SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 2.
Every time a new webi document is being created or changed where-in the source is defined and we are ready to design the report -- it prompts an error "Unspecified error invoking method or accessing property "onChangeDocID". This is happening with all users.
I have checked the note KB 1933283 for this issue and made necessary changes. The latest version of java(version 8 update 77 - build 1.8.0_77-b03) is installed on my system as well as the security settings are set to medium; low even. I have cleared the java cache. Updated to the latest version but to no avail.
This is happening with all the users while creating new webi report or while refreshing and user is thrown out of the report.
I have followed the specified link but no help from there either. SAP seems to have stopped supporting this particular BOBJ version I reckon?
Appreciate any help I can get. Attaching the error log and screenshots as well.

I have a WEBI, using BEx query as my source, with variable filter for 0CUSTOMER..When choosing values for 0CUSTOMER in the prompt what I can see are the "TEXT" values instead of KEY..Just wanted to ask how can I display the KEY values in the list of values shown in WEBI?
