I need to build waterfall chart.
Currently i have data in following format

I need to have waterfall chart for each month
Since waterfall chart is allowing 1 measure, I am not able to build it.
Please advise how to build the waterfall chart in webi

Hi,
I have a webi report built on Bex query. Bex query has some variable which is appearing as prompt in webi report.When a particular user runs its throwing error.Attached is the error screenshot.
The strange thing is that myself(administrator ) and some other users are not getting this error.
So is it something like related to user security/authorization issue with that user.
Security team has checked the users authorization and they say its fine. Any idea how to debug this issue.

WebI report (version 4.1 SP5) I have 2 queries that have been merged on the field Tagname. Query 1 uses a universe pointed at a SQL Server database. Query 2 uses a universe pointed at an Oracle database. Query 1: selects Tagname, SampleDate, SampleValue where Tagname = user inputted name and SampleDate between user inputted begin date and user inputted end date. Query 2: Selects Tagname, Revision, BeginDate, EndDate, CPK Limit Where Tagname = Result from Query 1 for Tagname The SampleValue field in Query 1 represents sampling test data collected during our manufacturing process. The CPK Limit field represents a control limit upon which we measure the results of our sampling test data. Ultimately my goal is to create an SPC chart that displays a line graph showing sampling test data and CPK Limit over a date range. After merging the dimensions and adding the CPK Limit from Query 2 to Query 1, I got #DATASYNC and #CONTEXT errors. I created a report variable for CPK Limit and now get the #MULTIVALUE error, which makes perfect sense. The data modeling related to Query 2 allows for revision control, for example: Revision A is effective from BeginDate = 1/01/2015 to EndDate = 12/31/2015, CPK Limit = 4000 Revision B is effective from BeginDate = 1/01/2016 to EndDate = 12/31/2017, CPK Limit = 3700 So it makes perfect sense why there are multiple values being returned in that one field. We may run a report for a Tagname from 5/01/2015 to 5/01/2016 which returns both CPK Limits of 4000 and 3700. What I can’t figure out is the correct method for resolving this problem. For each row, I need to apply logic that displays Query2.CPK Limit where Query1.SampleDateTime is between Query2.BeginDate and Query2.EndDate, for example: Q1.Tagname Q1.SampleDate Q1.SampleValue Q2.CPKLimit Machine1 08/17/2015 3875 4000 Machine1 03/15/2016 3925 3700 Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks
I have [Report Month] = [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12] & [Report Year] =[2011,2012,2013,2014,2015,2016] fields returned from database
I want to calculate 'Previous Month' based on the [Report Month]
How do I calculate so that the situation of Report Year = 2016 and Report Month = 01(Jan) where now the Previous Month is '12' of 2015

Hi Gurus,
We are trying to schedule a webi to outlook as a csv file and we keep getting a failure "deliverResultsToDestination failed". The report in itself works fine when executed on the launchpad.
This a 40 mb report so I filtered out to just 3 pages report and then scheduled it again and its the same issue. Whereas when I schedule it as an Excel (instead of CSV), the schedule works perfect. I also checked out that the same file schedules fine when the destination is set to BI INBOX, Outside location but only fails when destination is set to OUTLOOK EMAIL with a CSV format.
And one more thing to add is we have 2 nodes on our installation and both tested out to be fine with other report schedules.
Can anyone point towards the possible issues with this? Appreciate your valuable suggestions.

I am trying to create a crosstab based on my data. I have a company, invoice type and in the body - I am putting in a percent. I am getting #error in the body. I am using a calculation to get the percentage -
Percentage = Total invoices on time/Total invoices
Total invoices = Count([Invoice type];All)
Total invoices on Time = Sum([On Time])
On Time = if([Days]<=[Due Days]) Then 1 else 0
Days = Clearing date - Doc date
Due Days = If([Terms of Payment] = "Z00") Then 10

I have an issue when i m trying to declare the data type "Date" in a field. The data type of the field is "Date" in the object.
Also, I have the same issue whenever i m trying to convert a datetime to a date. The only valid option is String!!!

Lets say,
In BW, it is possible to change the language while logon. Now we have the requirement that there are some thousands of Web Intelligence Reports
which will be viewed world wide and so the language from English would change to the respective language of the viewers country.
We now think of siply changing the language in the OLAP connection say from EN to DE i.e. English to German or any other but the web intelligence report has no effect.
There is Translation Management Tool for sure but we dont intend to use it because we have thousands of reports so its not feasible.
We want the report must change the language dynamically as per the viewers country.
Is this possible?

First thanks in advance for those that take the time to respond. My work flow is to open a report in "Design" mode. Then Data Access/Edit. Once I go into edit mode I get a message that says "No business layer sent back from the server". Now I've read/been told a number of different things but all of them have been security related. The issue with that is you can't get to the name of the universe that the report is made of. Due to this, you can't get to the connection information either. So I can't check the security on the universe or the connection.
Has any one seen this error and resolved it?

I have couple of questions in regards to drill filters in webi
1) Is there a way in webi to allow the drill filters to work only on a block or a chart rather than applicable to the entire report ??
Second one based on the requirement I'm working
I have hierarchy setup in universe (Department ---> Team -----> Individual)
My requirement is to show a trend line (line chart) comparing the total department interactions vs Total Team interactions.
I'm using drill filters for users to select department and team, so is it possible that when a user selects department and a team the line chart should show the trend showing both lines for department and team ?
I tried this but when I select team graph is only showing for team.
Is there a work around for this?
Hope I explained it clearly.

I am using BI 4.1 Launchpad and trying to show dynamic hide/show of fields using drill down.
I have a report with:
Tab 1(summary): Section on Group# and Group Name.
Columns: 1. Benefit 2. Amount 3. Charge
Then totals of Amount and charge at the bottom.
Tab 2(Summary): Section on Group # and Group Name
Section on Account# and Account Name.
Columns: 1. benefit 2. Amount 3. Charge
Then totals of Amount and Charge at the bottom.
Tab 3(Detail): Section on Group # and Name
Section on Account # and Name.
Columns: 1. Member Name. 2. Date of Birth 3. Benefit 4. Amount 5. Date A 6. Date B. 7. Date c 8. Charge
Then totals
I want to be able to show just 1 tab and drill down to the details. like if I have group #, I can drill down to account # but the group name doesn't change dynamically to account name. then I want to be able to show the details like member name, dob etc dynamically when I drill down to third level.
Please advice.

I am using TMT to translate my report prompts to japanese text. The issue I am facing is that any new prompt added post translation to report is not visible in TMT when you try to do a translation of the updated objects.
Any idea or solution will be appreciated.
I am buiding a whole reporting package in WEBI 4.0 and I've run into an issue. I have several existing merged dimensions in the report (e.g. Month, Year, etc) I just recently added several new queries (from different universes) and would like to add the dimensions that came over to the existing merged dimensions. However, I am unable to do this unless I unmerge the existing merged dimension and then re-merge all the dimension members again. As soon as I unmerge though, many of my reports are completely messed up and would have to be rebuilt.
Is there a way to add new dimensions members to an existing merged dimension without having to unmerge first?

When I try to create a report with time stamp in query filter , not even getting data even the date and time exists in database.
Below Is the detailed analysis.
1. created a webi report with timestamp objects.
2. Apply query filter on timestamp object.
3. when I check In auto generated sql it only pick date part from the query filter but not timestamp.
4. Because of the above issue we are not getting expected results.

It picks only date part but not entire timestamp. But I need entire timestamp in WHERE clause. Please, suggest me a solution

we have webi report.which displays actual and budget fisalyear period values for given fiscal year in each actual and budget crosstabs..
now i need to enhance the webi report that should display two more crosstabs which display the previous year budget and actual values for the given input fiscal year.
i have created but it display null values.
i used the below formulae.
= [Actual] where ([FiscalYear]=[fiscal Year-1] )
= [Budget] where ([FiscalYear]=[fiscal Year-1] )
