Cache for derived columns

When we promote Web Intelligence reports along with underlying Universe to another BOBJ instance, say from Quality to Production, the reports that use derived columns from the Universe error out in the target instance while running with message:

 

"Some objects are not available to your user profile. You cannot refresh this document. (IES 00002)"

 

They work when we manually delete the derived columns and add them back to query. It looks like there is a cache pointing to the source BOBJ system that prevents objects to refresh in the new environment but I am not sure about the details and how to overcome this error without the manually modifying the query. We are on BOE Version 4.2

Hello Guys,

 

I want to schedule a webi report once the process chain in bw is sucessfully completed .Did any one face this situation before ?

 

is it possible to trigger a event from bw to webi and schedule a webi report to end users once the process chain loads the data into cube sucessfully

 

i searched sdn but didnt find any help related to this topic

 

can any one help me with the above issue asap

 

step 1 : Trigger the process chain load the data till cube

step 2 : add a process type whcih has program - at the end of the process chain

step 3 : trigger a event in BO inorder to schedule a webi report to end users from this program ? how to do it

 

i want to know how to trigger a event in bo from bw using r/3 program inorder to schedule a WEBI report

 

any help on this topic is highly appreciated

HANA Input parameters in WEBI

Is there a way to order the input parameters coming from a HANA calculated view in a WEBI report?  Version of BOBJ is 4.1 SP4 so the input parameters are coming through without the use of a derived table in the universe.

 

I have 11 WEBI reports built off the same universe that has a HANA view in it with 2 input parameters.  It is random in the reports on which input parameter shows up first.  In some cases it is the input parameter with the description 'Enter Report Being Date:' and in others the first input parameter is 'Enter Report End Date:'.

 

The respective technical names of the input parameters are IN_BEGIN_DATE and IN_END_DATE.

 

I would like it if they always showed up in alphabetical order but so far that is not the case.

 

Any thoughts or guidance?

Platform search - working improperly

Hi,

I set platform search aplication in BO 4.1 SP5, set index by schedule (schedule works and I see every day difffrent data in CMC -> Platform Search APlication -> properties)  but I can't find all reports which are in BI Launch Pad.

I even rebuild index but without success.

Should I set some additional things in CMC or in server which is responsible for search?

Applet initialization error in BO Web Intelligence

(FWM 20031) error loggin to launchpad

I am working on BO 4.1 SP2 Patch 3.

 

I am getting the below error:

 

Account information not recognized: Could not reach CMS . The CMS on machine was stopped due to a critical error. (FWM 20031)


When i check the error log (error_cms) it shows :


 

35101The root server reported an error Initialization Failure.


Kindly help me to resolve this.

How to Filter a crosstab table using an input control based on an calculation

I have the following crosstab table:

I need to be able to filter using an "Entry Field" Input control based on the "Difference" column. The user should be able to enter a value and have the table filter to show only those values in the range. For example the user enters " <= .05 only those rows that have a "Difference" value of .05 or less should display.

The difference column is a variable calculating the difference between the values between week 21 and week 22.

BEx Hierarchy and assigning value to parent

Hi All,

 

I am working on a problem where I want to display some information at parent node derived from child node.

 

I have a product hierarchy which has levels as Product -> Brand -> SubBrand -> SKU. A creation date is maintained at SKU level only. So when a hierarchy object and creation date are pulled in webi report. The output appears as below.

I want  to come up with an output given below.

I tried using max([creation date];[Product].children) but this didnt work. Any idea or thoughts to get this output?

How to add a new filter in an existing web service method (BIWS - WEBI document)

Hello Experts, we have 7 web service query's connected to a dashboard. Basically it is one WSDL URL and 7 Get Methods...Web service queries are BIWS (via WEBI document instance). There are filters setup for each of these web service methods.

 

Recently there was a request to add 2 new fields to the webi document and also the 2 fields need to be included as filters in the 7 methods. I know there is an option to edit the method, but when i edit the method, i cannot find the 2 new fields in list to set as filters.Can anybody help me understand how to add filters to an existiing web service method? I do not want to delete the method and republish the block as web service.

 

Any help will be great and points rewarded.

How can I pull consecutive transactional data values into a table without using a crosstab

I am trying to retrieve consumption values from date range without having to use a crosstab.

I am able to retrieve the first and the last date values but not the middle date value by using the following formulas:

 

First Value formula = First([consumption] in section)

Last value formula = Last([Consumption] in section)

Middle value Formula = ????????

 

The final product should look something like this:

how to change image size in HTML

Hi there,

 

      I am tring to change image size retrieved from internet, which is displayed in a blank cell , my HTML is as follows:

    above sytax is correct to display image in blank cell, but its size can't be adjusted by 'height=10width=10 '. could you please help how to do this size change of the image?  I have checked the forum, but can't find answere anywhere.

Hi All,

 

I have a small requirement of developing a report  using excel sheet as source data.

 

Requirement :

 

the sheet which we are going to use as a source data will be update thrice a day. is that possible to create an such report from launch pad or it should be done only through rich client ?

Running sum in webi 4.1

hi guys

i need help to create line graph and for that i need to calculation:-

runningsum(salary - bonus)

after running sum, need to take out the minimum value of running sum and if it is negative value then make it positive... with abs(min(runningsum))

after getting minimum value, needs to add minimum value to running sum value.

could you please help me in to create min+runningsum column......how to do that... i am able to do till min(runningsum)

Using Webi 4.1

sample data is like this :-

How to display max values and add remaining values by hidding minimum row values

Hi all, Kindly help me in acheivie the result.

 

Ex: Consider we are having two dimension as "Name", "Product" and Measure as "Unit Sold" in webi report.

Final result output should be...

Clarification :

Show  maximum "unit sold" accross for all "product" and for each "Name" and hide the remaining rows in table

 

Kindly help us in acheiving the result.

I have data from 2 tables

I merged both queries with Change Reference Number. But still I am not able to get merged resuts.

Default Date values

Hello All,

 

There are two reports pointing to the same universe and Oracle is the backend.

 

Report 1 has 9 Prompts,  Out of which I need to show default values for the Start Date : Current Date whereas End Date:  Current Date + 3 months

 

Report 2 has 7 prompts, Out of which I need to show default values for the Start Date : Yesterday whereas  End Date:  Yesterday – 7 Days

 

Currently, Start Date & End date for both the reports are coming from a condition

 

Begin & End Date :

 

EVENTSTRT_TS  >=  to_date(@Prompt('2.Begin Date(mm/dd/yyyy)', 'D' , , mono, free),'dd/mm/yyyy hh24:mi:ss')  AND SCHDL_EVENTSTRT_TS < to_date(@Prompt('3.End Date(mm/dd/yyyy)', 'D' , , mono, free),'dd/mm/yyyy hh24:mi:ss')+01

how to substract or add hours for date variable in webi.

we are using SAP BO 4.0 with Sp6,

 

We have a requirement to subtract 3 hours from one of the date variable created in Webi report.

 

we tried with relative date() function but it was throwing an error of invalid data type.

Urgent Help - 4 Weeks data using Query filter

Hi Experts,

 

We had a requirement of creating a chart which should show current week + previous  3 weeks of data with an input control of Week number  that is if we enter week 19 in the selection field in input box we can fetch 19,18 ,17 ,16 data . We have now acheived it

Please refer the screenshot of the report which we have created .

However now the requirement changed . Client wanted us to use the week number at query level with the same functionality .

Like -if we put week number filter in the query level and when the user selects the week number while refreshing the report then it should fetch current + previous 4 weeks . Please help me as how to create the same functionality in query filter . It is very urgent.

BO 6.5 to BI 4.1 Migration

Hello Everyone,

 

 

We need to do a migration from  SAP BO 6.5 to BI 4.1.

 

Below are the types of  report which will need to be migrated to the new environment :

 

1. Webi to Webi

2. Deski to Webi

3. Free hand SQL report

4. VBA based report

 

Can anyone suggest me the steps to perform the migration process?

 

Any help will be appreciated.
