First execution is not giving any data after movement from BW to BW on HANA!!!
Hi All,
We have moved our platform from BW to BW on HANA.
Some reports are absolutely fine while other are coming up with a strange issue.
Whenever I refresh a report for the first time, its not populating the data in it.
Scenario 1: Lets say I executed the report for Mar-2016, it wont populate any data. If I execute again for the same month then again there is no data in the report.
Scenario 2: If I am executing the report for Mar-2016, no data in the report. then if I take any other month lets say Feb-2016, Data would now start populating. And now if execute the report for mar-2016, I'll get the data in the report.
So basically, first execution is not giving any data, if change the parameters then it populates the data otherwise it doesn't.
My BO version is 4.1 SP4 Patch 6.
Have anyone come across a similar issue. Please help.

Layout issue
Hi Experts,
How to set correct alignment header of the report and body of the report.
example if the column values increase automatically body of the report also increasing.
Is their anyway to set both header and body in same alignment.

AD Integration
Hi All,
I have been going through the Business Intelligence Platform Administrator Guide trying to get the AD Authentication working with SAP. I have managed to successfully do an import and then proceeded to go through the configuration files:
- Created a krb5.ini file
- Created a bscLogin.conf file
- Modified the Java options for Kerberos on Tomcat
- I've verified that Java can receive a Kerberos ticket (which was successful)
- I then configured the BI launch pad for manual AD login
- created a BIlaunchpad.properties file in <INSTALLDIR>\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI4.0\warfiles\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom\
But when I log onto http://{Server Name}:{Port}/BOE/BI I don't get the authentication box to choose Active Directory.
The admin guide mentions that "The new properties will take effect only after the BOE web application is redeployed on the machine
running the web application server. Use WDeploy to redeploy BOE on the web application server." but I don't have WDeploy on the machine so don't know what else to do here?

Problems when visualizing a report with Java client
Hi
I have two reports that when I try to open with the Java client of Web Intelligent the image is not displayed correctly, you won't see anything and as you move the mouse around the screen the cells start being visible. The image is totally broken and it never gets correct.
This happen with two reports, they are from different universes, so it is not universe related. It happens while using IE and from different machines and users, so it is not something on the user's machine or user's profile. Also the same report used to be fine, and suddenly started having this problem. The same reports are fine if I open with the HTML client.
I am guessing is something on the server or configuration of BO? Maybe the reports are two bigs?
Could anyone help please?

Resetting running sum based on condition
Hi All,
I am facing a challenge in figuring out the way to derive the below values in WEBi.

In the above table, when a month has no actions (Actions = NILL), I have to reset the running sum of No. of Weeks per month from the beginning of the next month.
I am not getting any idea on how to achieve this.

Excel Export - No Data
I have some users having trouble exporting to excel from Web Intelligence. I am thinking the issue is because of local settings, but thought I'd pose the question here to see if anyone has experienced similar issues.
When the user exports to excel, the excel file "downloads" but when opened, contains no data. The Webi report itself, however, contains the data. We thought this was an IE setting, and went ahead and changed the prompt setting within IE. However, it still was unable to pull data within IE. One user informed me that about ~30% of the time, she can export to excel WITH data using Google Chrome. I experiences zero issues exporting to excel (but also using IE 9 instead of 8)
We also recently migrated from XI R2.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any suggestions would be beneficial.

Month order is getting changed in WEBi

In webi ,I am running my report from agust 2014 to july 2015 record coming in order but when selecting other range is getting distracted like jan feb aug mar April july....i did not used any kind of sorting ..

Sorting of Month/year in Web Intelligence 4.1
Can any one suggest me how to sort a Month/year column in Web Intelligence 4.1. I was thinking to create a custom alerter which seems to be not possible in this version 4.1 sp1 that I am using. I've found sorting of Month/year column which is related to BO XI 3.1 nothing in BI 4.1
Currently I am seeing in below order:

Aug 2012
Dec 2012
Feb 2012

How to create a variable which takes input from user(prompt variable) in sap bo webi?

I got to apply Ranking to my Records in the report,in Webi for which I need to create a variable which is like a prompt requires input to be chosen.I am trying to use the Inlist() function in the variable ,but getting error. The Ranking() functionality is disabled in my webi tool.Any other way to achive this??

Universe decimal separator and thousand separator change
I would like to change standard decimal separator and thousand separator at universe/data foundation level.
I have found parameter USER_INPUT_NUMERIC_SEPARATOR, but no idea where to declare it.
No clue on how to change thousand separator

Geomap in Webi
Hi guys .
We are on SAP 4.1 sp3. One of the business requirement is to map our customer's cities on the map.
Does Webi offer that?
We also have the latitude and longitude information as well for the location details....
Any ideas how this can be achieved?

Hierarchies from BEx in Webi report
Hello,
I'm using SAP BO 4.1 I SP5 and Business Explorer Query Designer 7.3 SP9 and I've created one query that has a hierarchy that I want to display also in a Webi report but for some reason I'm not able to display all the nodes or levels of the hierarchy.
The first level is fine, I get the + (plus sign) to show the next level but I have a row that says Not assigned values and I don't see the same sign to show the values of that level.
This is how I want to see the hierarchy and levels...

Plant and Not Assigned are Level 1 and Level 2 are the 100/200...etc values.
For some reason I'm not able to see the values of the Not assigned just the ones below Plant.
I defined the number of levels to expand in the BEx query and also in BOBJ but still it doesn't work.
Any suggestions?!

Page breaks in webi
Hello,
I was wondering if it's possible to use the page break function to generate a new tab (report) every time a break is made. Perhaps there's another function that can be used to accomplish this.

Scheduling Report to Local PC (File System) - Not Working
I did the following 2 steps.
1. Enter the path of the location
\ComputerName\C:\Users\UserName\Desktop\FolderName
2. Given permission to BO to read/write on the folder.
***********************************************************************************************
On BO, it says Success.
However, the file is not visible in the folder...
Has anyone experienced the same issue...?
If I am missing something here, could you please let me know...?

Calculating running count based on conditions in WEBi

We are facing an issue to achieve one of the requirements in WEBi. I have created a small excel file based on my client requirement. And i need to implement the same in WEBi.We need to implement the logic in WEBi for Column D highlighted in yellow(Column E is a formula, referencing column D).
Can someone help me out with proper Variables how to achieve this in WEBi.

How to retrieve the hidden table back in SAP BO webi?
Hi All
I was applying ranking across specific columns on my report table. There I also wrote the formula to hide the table. But that formula seems to have written with incorrect logic and hence that table remains hidden while selecting any input of the input control .Any solution for this??However the table gets displayed upon selecting other values of the input control(or do I need to remove ranking of the existing displayed table and solve this??
Any alternative solution for this??

Blank tabs when exporting WebI report to Excel
I have a Web Intelligence report that has three tabs. The first two tabs, which only has tabular data, appear blank when exported to Excel (that goes for both xls and xlsx). The names of the tabs are correct, but the tabs are empty. The third tab, which is mostly charts is exported fine.
When scheduling the report to be delivered in Excel format via email, the same problem happens: the first two tabs are blank, but the third one is fine and has content. However, when exporting to PDF, all of the content of the report are reflected correctly.
We tried working with our BO administrator, and even he was experiencing the same problem using his Admin access. He also tried giving our user accounts every user right he can give. So this seems to be not a security issue.
For this particular report, its first tab is just a summary of the prompt values selected. There are six other reports with the same tab, but they don't experience the same problem when being exported.
Any other ideas on how this can be fixed?

Date to number
Hey there,
I'm trying to develop a X-Y-scatter-chart.
"y" should be "mileage"
"x" should be "date"(of recoding)"
As WEBI is not able to handle "date" in "x"-axis, I'll try that by using date in "Number"-fomat(e.g. date: "2016-03-18" = number "42447").
Unfortuanetly I haven't found any discussion about that.
Any I idea?
Am I the first having that kind of challenge?

Getting a user clicked value in a variable
My webi document have two reports (two tabs).
First tab contain a list of ID.
When the user click on the ID, it should open the second tab (Report 2), displaying the ID the user clicked and further information on that ID.
Is it possible to get the ID the user clicked in a variable, so that I can display the ID and also use it as a filter on the table in Report 2?
