Issue with LOV in input controls

Hello experts,

 

we have a problem with input controls at few customers standing on 4.1 SP4 P5.

 

All inputs controls returns the warning "the list of values has changed". If you set a single parameter and refresh the report, then there is no problem. But if you choose "All values" (best pracise is a "List Box" or "Check Box" for multiple values) and refresh this report, then the input control always returs the appropriate warning. Beyond this issue is only happening in java-mode.

I don't understand this behavior, because the data are not able to change. The reports are based on BEx Query and the dataload ist from yesterday. From my perspective there is no change in the LOV. So I attribute this problem on the SP-Update.

 

Is there anybody who is able to identify this?

Manual Resequencing Of Records

In my attempt to create an income statement I have reached the point where I have added a group name to each record of data. I now have my report showing one line per group. However, it's doing a default sort of alphabetical ascending on the group name. I need to be able to customize the sequence of groups as well as add various text fields and subtotals throughout the records. Is this possible?

1.) Moving of universes and reports for a new environment 2.) Moving of Universes and reports for existing SAP BO environment.

 

Version we are using is SAP BO 3.1 latest patch.

divide by zero error

i have something like this

 

isnull(object,0)/isnull(object,0). i get the divide by zero error. is there a work around. i know you can do a nullif in the divisor, is there any other way out?

Sum formula with Context (In) not Working as Expected.

Hi,

 

I want to find the Total Amount for each person as in the following table:

 

Person     Amount

A               0

A               1000

B               0

B               154

C               0

C               660

C               660

 

It should not include duplicate values or zeros. As such the following struck out rows will not be included in the total:

 

Person     Amount

A               0      

A               1000

B               0     

B               154

C               0    

C               660

C               660

 

Total Amount = 1000+154+660.

The formula I expected to do this was:

 

     =Sum ( Max([Person]) In ([Amount]) )

 

It does not work. This formula provides me with the max value in the whole set, which in this case is 1000.

Wingdings and OCRB fonts in Web Intelligence 4.1 : not possible in pdf

Dear all,

 

I have a Web Intelligence document containing Wingdings and ORCB fonts.

This is possible in Web Intelligence 4.1 HTML viewer and editor.

However, when you export the Web Intelligence document to pdf, these fonts are changed to Arial :

Does anyone has a solution to display the Wingdings and OCRB fonts in pdf ?

 

According to SAP KB http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1825538, it should be possible from 4.0 SP8. I'm on BI 4.1 SP02 Patch 2

How to get the same format in Excel of Webi report while export,save in excel etc...

AD Import without disabled users

Good morning,

 

I am wondering if there is a way/additional option, when doing an Active Directory import, to ignore disabled users. I know this could be achieved with some AD maintenance, but that has it's own challenges.

 

So my first port of call is to see if this is possible in SAP.

Hierarchy Breaks are Missing on Scheduled MS Excel Format.

Hello Experts. We were broadcasting / Scheduling our Webi Reports in Acrobat Adobe (PDF) format everything was fine. Recently, users requested the same report to be broadcast in MS Excel format.

 

On receiving the report in MS Excel format noticed the below:

 

1. Hierarchy Breaks were missing.

2. Header & Footer is missing. However, I can do a work around to display it.

 

Please help me to get the hierarchy breaks as we use get on Acrobat Adobe format (PDF).

BW Master data not showing on Web Intelligence

Hi

 

I have created a RDA process in BW that extract a Z Table, insert into a DSO and later is used in a Cube. Amongst the infoobjects used, the 0MATERIAL was used to receive a material code present in my Z table.

 

Next, I have created a multiprovider that use the previous cube and another cube created in the same way (no 0MATERIAL for the second one).

 

Finally I have created a BEx query so that I can use the information in a Web Intelligence report.

 

Having explained all that, the problem is:

 

- When I use the query directly in Excel, with BEx plugin, the material name appears in my report.

- When I put the material description in a table, inside WEBi, the fields show a text "#" or "Not assigned"

 

What may I be missing here??

Scheduled Webi Reports - Omit if no Records

I have a number of scheduled critical Webi reports that run daily and emailed to individuals.  95% of the time these reports are expected to be empty. As a result, these individuals are bombarded daily with empty reports.  Outside customized coding, I am unable to locate an option within the scheduler to execute only if there are records.

 

Would you know of a work around?

 

Please advise.

I am not able to see last modified in webi report

Hello Team,


actually when we are open the webi report.

In General tab we can see .

Type: Web Intelligence document

Author: Administrator

Last refresh date:   March 22, 2016 1:29:05 AM

Last modified::      March 22, 2016 1:32:32 AM

Last modified by :  Here i am facing issue if i did changes and saved the report also it is showing "Administrator" (this is in correct i have my username it should be display).


How to resolve this issue ?

Can any one help me.

(FWM 20031) error loggin to launchpad

I am working on BO 4.1 SP2 Patch 3.

 

I am getting the below error:

 

Account information not recognized: Could not reach CMS . The CMS on machine was stopped due to a critical error. (FWM 20031)


When i check the error log (error_cms) it shows :


 

35101The root server reported an error Initialization Failure.


Kindly help me to resolve this.

Universe decimal separator and thousand separator change

I would like to change standard decimal separator and thousand separator at universe/data foundation level.

I have found parameter USER_INPUT_NUMERIC_SEPARATOR, but no idea where to declare it.

 

No clue on how to change thousand separator

Hierarchies from BEx in Webi report

Hello,

 

I'm using SAP BO 4.1 I SP5 and Business Explorer Query Designer 7.3 SP9 and I've created one query that has a hierarchy that I want to display also in a Webi report but for some reason I'm not able to display all the nodes or levels of the hierarchy.

The first level is fine, I get the + (plus sign) to show the next level but I have a row that says Not assigned values and I don't see the same sign to show the values of that level.

 

This is how I want to see the hierarchy and levels...

Plant
100A
200B
300C
Not assigned
##
999999

 

Plant and Not Assigned are Level 1 and Level 2 are the 100/200...etc values.

 

For some reason I'm not able to see the values of the Not assigned just the ones below Plant.

I defined the number of levels to expand in the BEx query and also in BOBJ but still it doesn't work.

 

Any suggestions?!

Reset all filter by one CLICK

Hi guys,

 

new challenge:

 

I have several charts in one report. The majority of the charts are linked with other charts by "depending input controls".

 

How can I manage, that just one "click" is needed in order to reset all the filters of all charts.

Reason: It's a management report and management allways requiere easiest handling. Otherwise no acceptance. (right click on each charts' submenu and choose "reset" is undisered)

Offline connectivity with Webi

Hello Gurus,

 

I want to work with Webi reports Offline which in turn connects to BW query as data source.

 

What are the possibilities to do it.

 

One option is by using Web Rich Client but first time i need to log on to the server and then work offline.

 

Is it possible to work offline with Webi reports using Universe as well , BW query is the datasource ?

Hi All,

 

As far as I know,As we don't have standard predefined procedure or process ,we create a check list of our own nothing but Test Scripts to test the BO Web I reports.

 

I just want to confirm myself that,are the test scripts prepared by BO Developer or UAT team ?

Object Format in IDT and WEBI not matching

Hi There,

I am creating a HTML object in IDT Universe BO 4.1.  In the Advanced Tab for the object, I have under Display I have selected This object will be displayed as HTML. I am hoping to see this object as HTML object in webi report, but when I right click on the object and click format cell, In General  -  Display - Read Content as: TEXT.  Is there any way that this can be seen as HTML by default.  I have 96 objects that I need to change as HTML.
